Can Yaiko ROCK! When I first heard one of her songs, I felt like just jumping up and banging my head along, haha. Though her music is not hard core "punk rock", it has this unique sound to it. I'm not much of a rocker, but I ended up falling in love with her music. Even her ballads have this awesome rock-ish, alternative, yet sweet sound. Plus, her voice is really hard to describe; at first it sounds whiny, but you find out that its a good kind of "whine", like one of emotion and desperation. I love her voice! I also find it awesome that she plays her guitar and writes her own songs. She is also an indie musician (which is an element in her unique music!) in Japan and has a career in Europe as well. It was so hard to find information on her (partly because it was all in Japanese =P), then I found out she just recently began her, I guess you could call it, her "Jpop" career (remember, she is also an indie singer). Anyways, I will still try to look at the listings of her songs, and include her indie singles/albums on his discography. Till then, her music is a must! They are so full or energy and just greaaaaaaaat!
