Date Scones

For ultimate enjoyment, serve these scones warm with a hot mug of coffee or tea.
2 POINTS PER SERVING
2 cups self raising flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
20g margarine
6 dates, chopped
3 tbs honey
1/2 cup skim milk
1/4 cup water
1 tbs flour, extra
1. Pre-heat over to 240°C. Coat a baking tray with cooking spray.
2. Sift the flour and cinnamon into a bowl. Using fingertips, rub the margarine into the flour.
3. Stir in the dates and combined honey, milk and water.
4. Sprinkle the extra flour over a board and gently knead the dough. Pat dough out to 2 cm thickness. Using a 5cm scone cutter cut into rounds and place on the prepared tray.
5. Coat lightly with cooking spray and bake in the oven for about 15 minutes.
