Dear Eddie,

The following is, in general outlines, a translated version of the letter, Aviva

intends to address to Mayor of Arad.

" As we happen to visit , quite often, Arad, we had the occasion of of knowing

the Chess Club, near roofed market place; a totally private endevour,

conducted by kind of philantrop American organisation. I'm well aware of the

missionary characteristics of that place, though delicate and considerate...

The Club is run by  Mr Eddie Beckford. It is a free for all club, that embraces

variagated Chess activities, including fruitful connections with the highly

praised Beer-Sheba club. Eddie, to tell the truth is a great organizer.

And club turned to be quite unique in Israel.

There is a free for all chess library as well as occasional free meals, clothing, English lessons

and the like...Implicitely, success and uninterrupted development of the

place should be in the interest of the town of Arad.

Unfortunately, founders of the place, are regularly exposed to violence: verbal, printed,

and even physical, excerted and motivated by Jewish exremists...

To the best of my education we are sole deomcratic state in the Middle East...

Plulalism should, under these  circumstances, be held, clutched and adhered to and by

    all means - kept...

     Sincerly yours,

    Dr. Dycian Aviva"
