Arson
attack in Arad
The Chess club
belonging to Israeli believers in the southern city of Arad, Israel, has been the focus of
an arson attack. There is nothing remaining of the Bibles, furniture or
second-hand clothes. The chess club was the initiative of an Israeli believer
who was a chess champion in the USA. The fellowship had
rented the premises in the market place in order to be a witness to the
community by inviting people to play chess. They also served meals for the
homeless and used the place for Sabbath evening meals & worship. It is the
same club that was attacked some 7 weeks ago and follows over a year of
continuous assaults, intimidation and harassment by large groups of an extreme
Orthodox Jewish sect who are incited by the religious anti-missionary
organization.
The Chess Club
was burned down the night before the official opening of an ultra-orthodox
chess club in the town market, only 10 meters away from the place that the
believers have rented. Please pray for your brothers and sisters in Arad, and pray for the
religious Jewish people who are persecuting the Body of Messiah, that they
would come to know salvation.
