No shoes – No school

The truth of the matter is, if you really want to go to school having no shoes shouldn’t stop you…right?

Well, this Bedouin family (one of many) lives out in the desert. Their children have to walk kilometers before reaching a paved road where they catch their school bus.

I imagine walking barefooted over the desert floor in mid-summer would be similar to walking barefooted over a bed of hot burning coals, not to mention the snakes and scorpions.

I guess it’s a ‘tough love’ decision a loving parent has to make. “Honey, you can’t go to school because you don’t have shoes.”

Well, we were able to solve this family’s problem! We purchased 8 pairs of shoes, a pair for each of their children.

We had to make a couple of trips (Oct. 13th & 25th) before getting all the sizes right!

This house receives us, listens to our words, and is blessed!

Matt 10:12-14
12 And when ye come into an house, salute it.
13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
