This past month, the police have been requesting a number of us believers to come to their headquarters and have interrogated us regarding our beliefs.
What is the charge? Passing out Christian literature to people under the age of 18. There is a law in Israel against doing such a thing. The exception to this law is the Haredim. Only they are allowed to go into the schools and take children to the synagogues – no parental permission or notification is required. They are allowed to stop children on the street and give them literature or a lecture, etc.
Of course, we believers are very careful not to give literature to children and if their parents want them to come inside the King’s Men or take books, we require written permission from the parents.
This is just another ploy to get the believers in trouble and to waste their time at the police station. So, once again, instead of protecting the believers, the police are acting as stooges for the Haredim. What they don’t know is that the Lord of the Universe is watching all this. What they mean for evil, God will turn for good!
Already a number of policemen have had to ask us what we believe and they have written our testimonies down in their files; who knows what God will do with that!
Meanwhile, if you were accused of being a believer, would there be enough evidence to convict you? Thanks for praying!
