Blew a Trumpet in Zion!

I used to sing about marching to Zion and about blowing a trumpet in Zion. Well, I was able to realize both of these blessings in the actual. You see, Mt. Zion is located in Jerusalem. Let me try to explain:

The old city of Jerusalem was once all Jewish, but now it's divided into four sections, called quarters. The Jews, Muslims, Christian Arabs, and Armenians each having their own. Lura took me to all four quarters, although the Muslim sector was somewhat risky.

The temple mount was erected atop two mountains, Mt. Moriah and Mt. Zion. Note! Abraham climbed to the top of Mt. Moriah to sacrifice his son Isaac (Gen 22:1 & 2). And many Biblical events took place on Mt. Zion, for one, it was where Jesus was tried and sentenced.

The green section of the diagram I made depicts the Jewish quarters. It was while in this section of Mt. Zion that I blew the shofar (ram's horn). Note! In many Bible translations, the Hebrew word 'shofar' has been replaced with the word 'trumpet'.

The black section of the diagram depicts Mt. Moriah, which is in the Muslim quarters. Note! The Muslims also possess the entire temple mount. They have put it off limits to everyone else, warning that trespassers will be shot! The Muslims often throw rocks down from the mount, at Jews praying along the Western Wall. The red line depicts the Western Wall.

Mt Zion is sort of shaped like the double humps on a camel's back. It dips in the area before and up to the wall, the flat area you see people approaching on. The wall also serves and a support structure for the temple mount.

Underneath the temple mount and between both mountains, arches were erected for additional support. In these archways merchants sold their wares.

Upon the temple mount, the Muslims built the Dome of the Rock. Many people believe that the Muslims built the Dome right where the temple of Jerusalem once stood. But Lura has reasons to believe, that the Dome of the Rock is built on top of the spot where the burnt offerings were sacrificed and that the Dome of the Spirit is built over the Holy of Holies, in essence, the spot of the temple.
