Eddie's Commentary

The Kingsmen and I used to deliver groceries to all the Holocaust survivors living in Arad. I remember the first time as if it was yesterday. We had banana boxes packed to the brim with nutritious (spiritual and physical) food stuff. Looking for a particular apartment, I ended up climbing to the 5th or 6th floor of this one building.

This poor Jewish lady struggled to the door using a walker. Why? Why was this elderly Holocaust survivor, and others like her, living on the top floor of buildings without elevators? Why?

(Answer: The higher you live in a building without an elevator, the cheaper the rent!)

I couldn’t help from recall all the money I donated to the Holocaust Museum in D.C. after a walk through, seeing all the black and white photos of starving Jews in their black and white striped prison clothes, yellow stars of David, and barbwire.

Hmmm! Wonder where the money ended up? CEO bonus pay? Museum expansions? Or what. Eddie
