UCD 0 - Saint Patrick's Athletic 0
St Patrick’s Athletic remain unbeaten in the Premier Division but tonight's goaless draw at Belfield is one that both team and supporters will want to forget.
It was a dull, lifeless affair that marked Martin Moran's departure from management at UCD. Paul Doolin will now take over the reigns at the club. Doolin himself started the game, one of the changes made to the UCD starting eleven that conceded six against Bohs at Dalymount Park last week. If Pats had gone into the game hoping that they could improve on Bohs tally they were to be sadly mistaken.
With no particular pattern to the play, chances were few and far between. Unfortunately hoofed clearances and broken play took the place of any serious passing on the pitch and consequently there is very little to say about the game.
Pat's will have to pick up their performance level for the visit of Cork City next week. Here's hoping that the Belfield bore was that necessary 0-0 that every team has to get out of their system.
