For fun, I decided to take an online Art Test. Seven brief multiple choice questions about my personality, and this determines what work of art I would be if I were a work of art. As soon as I saw my results, I decided that it was just too funny, ironic (and strangely, true) and that it would fit so well on my website, so here they are:

If I were a work of art, I would be M. C. Escher's Lizards.

I am a bizarre juxtaposition of the real and the unreal. Based in the realm of mathematics, my two-dimensional appearance belies a complex and free-willed behaviour which both delights and confuses people.

Which work of art would you be? The Art Test

One thing that I did find interesting, though, is that while the Art Test calls this picture Lizards, a little 'net search on M. C. Escher, whom I was not previously familiar with, showed that the actual title is Reptiles. There is , however, another Escher drawing entitled Lizards and the two are related.

This is what Lizards looks like. It's understandable that the titles could be mixed up. The Lizards symmetry is actually contained within Reptiles ! (It's the picture from which the lizards are coming to life.)
