King Tribute Page
This page is dedicated the French Lop King who was loved very much by my cousin Susie and her boyfriend Chris. King died suddenly with no warning on Saturday night 29th September 2001 and will for ever be missed.
Kings Story
- Earlier on this year Susie and Chris went to their local breeder to buy some rabbits to kick start their breeding program, this was where they spotted King.
- King was the smallest in a litter of French Lops, the runt you could say, but being a French Lop he was a darn sight bigger than a regular lop at that age.
- Chris fell in love with King and decided to take him home as a pet rather than breed him. He was a cheeky little devil and would chase you around the pillar in the empty garage where the rabbits lived and would cause havoc tipping over the feed and scratching at the sawdyst bag. No matter what, they loved him.
- King started spraying around so Susie and Chris thought it was time to get him neutered and just as they thought, he calmed down tremendously, they even bought him a friend a french lop crossed with some sort of long haired breed who no one wanted. They called him Mini Me.
- After a while Susie fell pregnant herself and decided the cost of the rabbits were too much so they decided to get rid of a few but only to respectable owners. They knew someone was very interested in King from down the road and because he ate the most, they made the decision to sell him to the hopeful couple. At least they would be able to see when they wanted. King lived in the life of luxury in this house and became a house bunny.
- It was that Saturday night, king was sat on his new owners lap enjoying an evening of petting, all of a sudden, he began having a fit and it proved fatal. No one knows what caused the fit, we only hope he wasnt in pain throughout his life, bunnies tend to suffer in silence. King will be forever missed as long as we always remember him and the funyn ways he had. I like to think he is up on rainbow bridge playing with Fudge and watching us all and wishing we could know, he is alright.
