It starts with a space pod landing on earth and Goku going to Master Roshi's island for a reunion with Bulma, Krillin, Oolong and Master Roshi. It turns out that the person inside the space pod is a saiyan named Radditz, and Goku's brother. So that makes Goku a saiyan. Radditz came to earth to see if Goku has done his mission (see Goku's Bio). Seeing that his brother has failed, Radditz used his scouter to find him. Radditz arrived on Roshi's island right after Goku. After Radditz explained to Goku about his origin, he commanded Goku to finish his mission (which was to destroy all inhabitants on earth). Goku refused and got thrashed, so Radditz stole Gohan for blackmail and flew away. | Piccolo arrived after also been beaten by Radditz. Piccolo came to offer to gang up against Radditz. Goku seeing no other way agrees. Since Gohan has a dragonball on his hat, Goku used the dragonball radar to track down Radditz. Goku and Piccolo confronts Radditz while Gohan is trapped in Radditz's Space pod. Goku and Piccolo starts taking off their weighted armour to raise their power level, while Radditz wonders how they can raise their power levels while he can't. Goku and Piccolo charges at Radditz mercilessly, but Radditz is just too powerful. They than take a different approach, to use energy blasts. Goku starts a Kamehameha and Piccolo a Special Beam Canon. Goku finish his blasts first and shoots it at Radditz. Radditz dodges it, but Goku redirects to chase Radditz, Radditz having enough blocks it untouched. Piccolo finally finishes his Special Beam Canon and shoots it at Radditz. It was very powerful but Radditz still dodged it. Radditz now really mad, thrashes Goku and Piccolo until they can hardly move. Gohan seeing his father nearly dead, gets really mad and breaks out of the space pod right into Radditz's armour breaking it. This attack greatly weakened Radditz, but Gohan's power is all gone now. Enraged that Gohan nearly killed him, Radditz begins beating up Gohan. Goku suddenly grabs Radditz making him unable to move, Goku then call for Piccolo to do another Special Beam Canon. Goku knows the only way to beat Radditz will be for Piccolo to shoot a Special Beam Canon right through Radditz and him, which is a good example of Goku's pure heart. Piccolo finally launches it and kills both Goku and Radditz. Piccolo than gloats to the dying Radditz that Goku will be easily revived from the dead using the dragonballs. Radditz than laughs at Piccolo on how stupid he was to tell him that, for Radditz has just transmitted to two other saiyan the information and are going to come to revive him. Krillin, Bulma and Master Roshi arrive just as Kami transports Goku. Piccolo than walks over to Gohan and takes him, Piccolo explains that only with Gohan's power, they can beat the two other Saiyans that are coming to earth. Radditz by now is completely dead, and since Bulma was wondering what Radditz had on his face (the scouter) she commanded Krillin to get it. Bulma being a genius figures out that a scouter is thing that can read someone's power level, but Radditz's is broken. So everyone, except Piccolo and Gohan, fly back to Master Roshi's. One of the Saiyans, Vegeta, is shown eating someone, when Nappa, the other saiyan, tells Vegeta about transmission from Radditz. Vegeta seeing that the dragonballs can make anything come true, travels to earth with Nappa. Not to revive Radditz, though, but to wish for immortality. Yajirobe than arrives at Master Roshi's to invite Krillin to train with Kami to get ready for the Saiyans. It turns out that Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, Choa-su and Yajirobe have all been invited to Kami's Lookout to train. They all arrive and train really hard in the pendulum room and by themselves. Gohan and Piccolo also train with each other and Goku training with King Kai. The day the Saiyans arrived, Goku wasn't there yet and it would take a day for Goku to get there. So all of earth's forces must stall the two aliens 'till Goku arrives. At first Nappa grows Saibamen to fight them. They were all easily defeated, except one killed Yamcha. Nappa then went up to fight, Nappa as able to kill Piccolo, Tien and Choa-su before Goku arrived. Goku with the help of one Kaioken attack defeated Nappa. Vegeta embarrassed that Nappa had been so easily defeated, killed him. Gohan and Krillin were then sent back, while Goku and Vegeta fought. Although Vegeta was still more powerful against a Kaioken and a double Kaioken, he was no match for a triple. Vegeta, not believing that Goku is stronger than he is, decides to just destroy the whole planet with his Galic Gun. But Goku with a Quadruple Kaioken and a Kamehameha beat Vegeta. But Vegeta wasn't beaten yet. He simulated a moon with energy (see species, Saiyans) and changed into a Mammoth Ape/Oozaru. Since Vegeta can somehow control his Mammoth Ape form, he was able to dodge Goku's Spirit Bomb and defeat Goku. But Gohan and Krillin, worrying for Goku, returned and try to cut off Vegeta's tail to turn him back to his normal form. Although, Krillin's Distructo Disc missed Vegeta's tail, it distracted Vegeta so Yajirobe could cut it off with his sword. But Vegeta in his normal form was still extremely powerful. So while Gohan stalled him Goku gave Krillin some of the spirit bomb he gathered before, to shoot at Vegeta. Although Krillin missed Vegeta, Gohan was able to reflect and it hit Vegeta. But that still wasn't enough to defeat Vegeta, and he began to beat up Gohan. But than all of a sudden Gohan's tail grew back. Vegeta seeing this was about to kill Gohan when Yajirobe jumped in and was able to stall Vegeta enough to allow Gohan to transform. At first Gohan was out of control destroying boulders and not Vegeta, but with Goku's help Gohan began to listen and start hitting Vegeta. Since Vegeta was really weak then, Gohan in his Mammoth Ape form was beating Vegeta. But then in midair Vegeta was able to cut off Gohan's tail which turned him back, but not before Vegeta got squished from the full weight off Gohan in his Mammoth Ape form. Vegeta finally accepting defeat, called for his space pod and was about to escape when Krillin stopped him with Yajirobe's sword. Krillin was about to kill Vegeta, when Goku stopped him and Vegeta flew away. Bulma and them then arrives, and brings Goku, Gohan, Krillin and Yajirobe to a hospital for healing. | |||
