Season 1
Pilot (Two Part Episode): Part 1: Dr. Michaela "Mike" Quinn (Jane Seymour) of Boston gets off to a rocky start when she opens a practice in Colorado. Part 2: Mike makes the difficult adjustment to life in Colorado.
> The Epidemic: Mike works feverishly against a flu epidemic that isolates the town and causes panic among the residents.
The Visitor: Mike's estranged mother (Jane Wyman) visits, but she and Mike are still miles apart. Meanwhile, Robert E (Henry G. Sanders) is injured in a fire.
Law of the Land: A gunslinger (Johnny Cash) arrives looking for a quiet town in which to hang 'em up, but Colorado Springs is itching to lynch an immigrant for cattle rustling.
The Healing: While coping with a hernia, Loren (Orson Bean) decides to cause Sully some pain by seeking to take away his homestead.
Father's Day: As Dr. Quinn is trying to persuade the townspeople that smallpox vaccinations are necessary, the father of her adopted children arrives in town.
> Bad Water: Mike and Sully (Joe Lando) meander up a creek to get a water sample near a gold mill, which Mike believes is poisoning the water supply downstream
Great American MEdical Show: Mike doesn't buy the sales pitch of an exploitative medicine-show man (Robert Culp), especially when she faces a medical crisis involving Myra (Helene Udy).
A Cowboy's Lullaby: A cowpoke (John Schneider) reaches the end of his rope trying to care for his ailing infant, so leaves the baby in the care of Mike
> Running Ghost: A businessman tries to buffalo the townsfolk into selling their property to make way for the railroad, while Sully rails against bison hunters and pays for it physically.
The Prisoner: Gen. Custer (Darren Dalton) intends to execute Cheyenne medicine man Cloud Dancing (Larry Sellers); Matthew (Chad Allen) has his eye on Ingrid (Jennifer Youngs).
happy Birthday: Mike's loneliness surfaces as her birthday approaches; Jake (Jim Knobeloch) goes on a binge after his negligence leads to a death.
Rite of Passage: Mike forbids Matthew to pursue his plans to marry Ingrid.
Heros: Colleen (Erika Flores) gets a crush on Sully after he saves her, but her plan to have him rescue her again puts her in real peril.
The Operation: When Brian (Shawn Toovey) suffers a head injury and complications arise, the strain takes an emotional toll on Mike and the townspeople
> The Secret: Mike draws out the secrets about a developmentally disabled boy.
Portraits: Kenny Rogers plays a photographer who, Mike discovers, is battling severe diabetes and the loss of his sight.
