Profile: After Conrad's parents were killed in a Salaise raid when he was just a boy, the knight Jonathan Carlysle took him in and raised him. He became a skilled soldier, and eventually took Jonathan's place on the officers' board. Conrad is against the plan to seal off earth from other worlds, but still feels loyal to his country, which places him in a difficult position.
