When the Kurrmond clan began to spread its influence in New York, Jacknife felt he needed someone with some 'inside knowledge' to help keep his group on top. Gallowglas stayed on even after Jacknife's death, and was later killed by an unknown assailant, but managed to make peace with her brother Marcus before dying.
