It ain't a card game, son. It's a turn based strategy game, like Tactics Ogre. You select a unit on the map, you select it's special attack on your robot kill the other robot.
This is one of the only games in the world that let you fight Gundam, Macross, Mazinger Z, Getter Robo and Big O against a common enemy.
The games on the PS2 have animation like this:

Hey Mecha, congrats on Legend status! I've been a Legend for some time now, and I can honestly say, Karma has as many uses as a drunken duck with a poor sense of direction.
Here's the part where I would normally rant and rave about little details no one cares about. Where I explain that nothing is off-topic on the secret boards, and how, even though I have never once marked a message, the people telling Mecha to leave could be marked for invading, were I inclined so. And then I'd discuss the definition of hypocrite, citing several examples as to avoid further misuse of the word. This would probably get the no-nonsense fans of this most excellent series I've never heard of rather annoyed, but then I remember paper can be sharp sometimes if you're not careful.

Ok well first off, I'd love to clear something up here. I have NEVER called this a card game, ever! If you've read my posts concerning the matter, I have called it "sorta like a card strategy game" and "card type game" OK?? That pretty much seems to be the main prob peeps are having.
But Anywhoo, I DO recognize the love and commitment that some people hold for this game and I respect that. However the same can be said for ANY game in existence! Having said that, this Base aint going Nowhere! This baby's been around for well over a year before this "invasion", so to speak. And so I think we made a great choice! Not trying to sound rebellious or anything, but the fact of the matter is we've been here for over a year so far, and I'm not about to pack up just because a couple of "topic-game lovers" come along a year and a half later and post their (albeit valid) concerns. George W. Bush may as well give in to Al-Quaeda then!!
Anyway...
The Official, Nextel™-Sponsored Bottom Line is:
Secret Board or no, this is about the most "On-Topic" Secret Board as I have yet to ever witness, MWA HA HA HA HAAAAA!

The Compact title is only for Wonderswan. If it was on XBox, however unlikely, it would likely be called SRWX.
Look forward to SRWGC on Gamecube, or maybe try to snag SRWMX or SRW@2 on PS2?
Oh, yes, check out CJayC's SRW FAQ in the FAQ section. He's a SRW fan, who posts at the more populated SRW boards occasionally.

As Lamia said, SRW Compact is exclusive to the Wonderswan (and Wonderswan Colour). If you want the console version of the Compacts, then buy SRW Impact for PS2.
Anyway, it's highly unlikely that a SRW would appear on Xbox because it is not very popular in Japan (from what I heard, most of the electronics used in Japan are Japanese brands, not international brands).
