Dear GOODNESS -- this topic is still up?! This definitely is one of the oldest topics I've still seen running! Man, and it still has the message where I first used the .sig that I still have!

Is this maybe the oldest topic on GameFAQs? Or are there older topics?

Anyway -- my status: Jon Talbain / Gallon still remains my favorite character in the Darkstalkers series (followed by Sasquatch, Felicia, and Jedah ;] ) and he remains my favorite lycanthrope in a video game. However, Kamio+ from SNK's Cool Cool Toon, who's a big yellow groovin' werewolf with a weird-yet-awesome design, is vying for the spot. So, that's another SNK vs. Capcom rivalry for me. ;)

You know, This topic has been up a long time. Morrigan is my favorite, and now that I have been playing her again, boy what strange dreams I'm having. Wonderful but strange :) I've kind of lost my tast for Donovan Bane, though the furry can of whoopa**, Jonathan Talbain is stil a extremely cool character.

Talbain still going strong.I love playing the old wolf-meister too.Jedah is already one of my faves as well.I mean ,come on;how can you NOT like playing a guy who can use his own blood to drown ,cut ,slap 'n smack around people while still looking so friggin' cool?I also like Huitzil(FINAL GUARDIAN B!!!) ,Pyron(Galaxy trippin') and Q-Bee (the whole "i wanna eat your soul" attitude and moves)

Well I have to say my favorite is Felicia, followed by Talbain. Though I play Talbain more I have to say Felicia is the Venus of cat-girls and is responsible for my way of life as is.

I've actually played Talbain in two LARPs and I'm going to cosplay and LARP him at Otakon this year (going for his grey color version on the costume).

Works out since my gf is also LARPing and cosplaying as Felicia as well *wags tail happily*

I'm also aiming to do a cosplay costume of Jon Talbain sometime, blue-colored. But before I do that, I'm going to have to complete the cosplay costume of Tiger from Tecmo's Monster Rancher I've been working on for this year's Nan Desu Kan anime convention and other sci-fi/fantasy cons in the area. Then, the year after that, I'm planning on doing Kamio+ from SNK's Cool Cool Toon (the aforementioned big yellow werewolf with a weird but cool design -- the 3D design looks better), as he's a bit simpler to design. Afterwards still, I'm planning on doing Treble / Gospel from the original Megaman / Rockman series -- and then I'd plan to do Jon Talbain. :)

A lot of plans I have -- plus I plan to do human characters also during the same cons so that I can purchase stuff, play video games, etc. while still in costume (i.e. the same year I'm cosplaying as the werewolf version of him, I'm also going to have a costume prepared of his human form. And with Tiger, I'll have ready another Tecmo character, etc.). But that's basically how I'm going to do these cosplay projects, unless I decide to change the order a bit.

But, yeah -- if you'll have any pics to share, construction methods, etc., please do share 'em! It'd be definitely worth seeing. :) [ And I think this topic should still be around by the time Otakon hits -- heck, it's already gone on for almost a year and a half! ;D ]

Treble/Gospel sounds nice. Would be a little weird to see a cosplay of a dog though. Are you doing to dress up your pet or do you plan to walk on all fours and growl at people?

I was initially thinking more along the lines of a two-footed representation of a four-footed character -- he might end up looking a little bit more like a Maverick / Irregular leader from the X series, but it might work.

But, recently, though, as just a general costuming project, I've also been fooling around with plans on how to make a four-footed costume (slightly involving the use of stilts) that effectively looks and walks like a four-footed creature (even looking horizontal enough to be convincingly four-footed). I could try applying the final plans to Treble / Gospel, as a test; but due to the dimensions I've got so far, though -- having to expand the chest line to make the limbs not look so tall, and having to buff out the legs at least a little bit -- he might end up having proportions like the SD Treble/Gospel as found in the bonus art archives of the Saturn version of Megaman/Rockman 8. ;)

I really need to fool around with the design a bit more -- I haven't even done any sketches of him to see what would work. Maybe that last one might work -- he might look a bit more like from Megaman/Rockman 7, but it might still work.

... this could actually turn out to be a pretty interesting and cool project. ... okay, perhaps he'll be four-footed, but I've got an inkling of an idea now to build some better custom stilts to help him look more horizontal and less SD-like. :) Might take practice to walk around with, but I'll hopefully get the hang of it.

... and, I'll most likely just remain silent while in costume. In either case, I'll design the facial expression of the costume head to have a growl. ;)

[Now to determine which material to use to simulate the plastic... ;] )

... and what a topic, eh? I got back home a couple weeks ago and started playing through with Jon Talbain yet again, on both Night Warriors and Vampire Savior. I still have room to get better -- I'm currently develop aggressive strategies and such.

A question -- have there been any Darkstalkers tournaments? (Or, what other questions might other folks here have?)

I am shocked! Pleasantly, but shocked nonetheless. Let's see. I just got back to playing D3 a week ago because my memory card got blanked out somehow >_< But I'm still just as good with J. Talbain as ever, and right now he is my favorite character to use. My favorite character over all, however, is still Morrigan Aensland. I actually have several home-made posters from internet pictures on my wall now. ^_^; My dreams are still pleasantly strange... And that's the way I like them! Morrigan, You're the best! ^_^

This topic has been up before the year 2001 WOW!!!!!! this is an old topic. Well Morrigan is my fav shes the best I like her finishing shower and darkness illusion. I also like darkness blade. And her pursuit attack. Oh yeah cant forget Vectordrain i can do a 49 hit combo if you do it correct.

Also J tail ban is really really good use his mirage body in darkforce power using billion flicker prepare for 1/2 amount of damage in the life bar.
