Ok, I have lurked for some time here, but I think it's time for me, telling you one of the things that "happened" when I saw a crane machine. I were at a somewhat huge amusement park with some friends for some years ago, and as always I always pop into the Arcade's there. They had pretty much old games there like Virtua Fighter 2, Daytona USA and Ridge Racer, one of the few new games were Tekken 3, but as you could have guessed it were just crammed with folks around that machine, so there were no use trying to play a match. After some hour, we started to explore it something more, since it were some other rooms other then the Arcade room. And it was then we found the crane machine, it were all sorts of things in that one, but the only thing that looked somewhat expensive were a nice wrist watch, and it were that one that we were trying to get. I think Iv'e lost like 10$ on that, and one of my friends maybe like 8$ or something, and it costed 1$ for every try :o. We were very close some times, but right when we thought we had the clock, it either cranked away from the crane, or we hesitated too much, and then we lost the turn, and had to pay off one more time... The irony of it, could surely have been that after that we left, someone who just wanted to try it, got it on their first try or something. And we struggled almost for an hour wasting the money. Anyway, it was a good experience, that I will never try to get a thing on a crane game any more, atleast not that I have to pay so much money for it, then I would have to win the first five tries or something. Or else I would have stopped trying since it were no use :). --- Having no way as the way. Having no limitation as your limitation. |

The ones around here are 50 cents. Actually I was at Lasertron last week and well they had one of those play till you win Crane games, but something was wrong with it I think. Me and my friend both got ripped off because the crane just kept dropping the candy we picked up and well after our third tries the crane didn't move anymore! We then proceeded to demand our coins back hehehe --- "If you get your ass kicked THAT badly in an RPG, you were either meant to lose that fight, or are playing the 7th Saga." ~~BTB |

Well, guys I live in another country, and here the crane machines costs so much, I don't think it matter where you live, they cost as much in the whole country, or maybe that were just a deluxe-machine, since it were some expensive things in it, atleast that seemed to be the case, I don't know if the things were pretty cheap :), but it were not like a candy crane-machine, and those ones are much cheaper, but all of those that have some sort of a non-eatable thing gets immediate more expensive, that's all. --- Having no way as the way. i once found one that had a grip like a vice! unable to let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity pass, i virtually cleared the thing of prizes! which wasnt good, because they were just bootleg Pink Panther soft toys... but it was like therapy for the number of times ive been duped by the damn machines! of course, on my next visit, the machine had been tinkered with and was back to its usual 'grip' - that of an arthritic old man. --- "Lest's go far away and make a country of our own... a kingdom of ninja's!" - Hiryu, Survival Arts |
