Pegasus Estate is located in Acherounes, in front of the beach, in a small bay at the south part of the island, protected by the wind. The beach is one of the most beautiful on the island, ideal for fishing and harboring small boats. Not far away from the estate are two small taverns offering Greek cuisine and fresh fish. At 10 minutes walking distance is the port of Linaria. The estate is situated 8 kilometer from Skyros Town, which is connected by local buses 6 times a day.
The first of the two buildings, which was named after Theseus' mother and Aegea's wife, and is called Aethra.
On the ground floor there are five comfortable studios for couples, which can accommodate a third person, if baby or child, by adding an extra bed.
On the first floor there are two more studios and an apartment with two rooms, two bathrooms and a living-room, suitable for two friendly couples or a family of 4-5 persons.
The second building was named "Aegli" (=glamour) because good taste is everywhere, since stone and wood dominate in all its rooms. It has everything, there is in "Aithra" building and what is more, it has central heating for wintertime.
The ground floor apartment, "Villa", has two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a large living-room which is separated from a fully equipped kitchen by a breakfast bar and a large verandah with pergola.
The building's first floor has two apartments.
"The Skyrian", as it is named, has one bedroom with wooden floor, double iron bed and a small balcony. Coming in through the entrance one passes into the living room which is connected to a fully equipped kitchenette.
Finally, above the kitchenette there is a traditional Skyrian mezzanine level (sfas) with two single mattresses on a wooden floor, suitable for children.
The second apartment, the big studio, consists of a bedroom with a double bed and an extra one for a third person. Its well organized kitchen is separated from the living room by a breakfast bar. It has a large bathroom with a bathtub. This apartment also has a big, secluded balcony.

Acherounes Beach is a beautiful beach on the west coast of Skyros, at 10 kilometer distance from Chora. It is a popular sandy beach in a small bay and on both sides it is surrounded by a mountain.
Acherounes beach is probably about 150 meters long and it is quite wide. It consists mainly of coarse sand and you will not find as much seaweed here as on some other beaches on the island of Skyros.
The beach is protected from the wind and is well suited for families with small children, also because the water is shallow and so it is easy to get into the sea. On Acherounes beach you can have something to eat or drink, and there are a few parasols and sunbeds for rent (only in high season, in May there was no umbrella rental and the tavern was closed. It was nicely quiet though and thus we visited Acherounes a couple of times for a swim). There is a small river ending at the beach and a bridge (as good as dried out in May) and there are a few small palm trees. At the beach is the attractive chapel of Panagia Meglou. From the beach there is a view of several small islets (Renae, Skyropoula and Valaxa). Because this beach is only at a 10 minutes distance walk from Linaria (the harbour) it is popular with people that are staying at this part of the island.
