ALONISSOS TRAVEL - THE JOURNEY TO ALONISSOS BY BOAT OR PLANE

On the island of Alonissos there is no airport. You can book a flight to Athens and from there travel with Olympic Airways to the island of Skiathos. Olympic often has cheap fares for this flight. It is possible that there are direct flights from your country to Skiathos, because Skiathos has an international airport. Check with your travel agency or check on the internet. From Skiathos there are regular ferries and superfast ferries to Alonissos. Alonissos can also be reached by ferry or high speed ferry from, Evia, Agios Konstantinos, Thessaloniki or Volos. Especially during the summer months the connections are plentyful.

FERRIES TO AND FROM ALONISSOS - ISLANDHOPPING FROM ALONISSOS

From Alonissos there are regular ferries (as well normal as socalled "superfast ferries") to the town of Volos on the mainland and to other islands in the surroundings, such as Skiathos and Skopelos. You can check the times and prices and if you like you can book a ticket ahead on the site of Ferries in Greece. Especially if you want to be on a superfast ferry during the high season this could be a good plan.
