Aspropotamos is situated in the northeast of the island of Lesbos. It is a small village with a small beach that can be reached by turning right just before you reach Mantamados when you are on the road from Mytilini up north to Molivos. The views are rewarding, looking over the sea and a couple of islets that lay off the coast (Mparmpalias, Aspronisi and Panagia). The name Aspropotamos means "White river".
