I really recommend this one. We stayed here a few days in October 2011 and we returned again in 2013 (and in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 we came back again). This time two of our friends that were with us on a holiday stayed in a socalled Townhouse: a maisonette over two floors with downstairs two bedrooms with an en suite bathroom and upstairs the living room and kitchen. Downstairs was a veranda en upstairs a large balcony with a beautiful sea view. The townhouse too was decorated very tastefully and modern.

Lagada Resort is situated on the edge of Makrigialos / Analipsi if you take the exit Kalo Nero from Analipsi. Lagada (sometimes called Langada) is a quiet area with many small and often deserted beaches. Just opposite the complex is also a very large (and quiet) beach. The complex enjoys a quiet location about 800 meters from the edge of Analipsi.

These new bungalows have an area of 88 m2 and are situated around a lovely large communal pool with sun beds. There are also very nice town houses, apartments and penthouses for rent. The decor is sleek and modern, yet very cosy. We felt immediately at home upon arrival, even so we only went out for dinner in the evening one time and the rest of the days we stayed in the bungalow and I cooked something myself ;). In the kitchen you will find besides the usual dishes except, the (nice) glasses and cutlery of course a refrigerator, a microwave oven, four ceramic hobs, a dishwasher, a good set of saucepans and a frying pan with non-sticky surface.

From the hallway you can reach all the rooms. Each bungalow has two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and the master bedroom has an ensuite with shower and toilet. There is also a bathroom with bath and toilet. In the large living area is a very comfortable L-shaped sofa with a coffee table. There is satellite TV (with good channels, not the crap channels that you sometimes find on satellite TV) and a DVD player. The living room flows into the area with the kitchen and the dining table. Outside there is also a 30 m2 terrace with comfortable seats and via a staircase you can go to enormous roof terrace to enjoy the beautiful sunsets with a glass of wine in your hand.

Around the bungalows are beautifully landscaped gardens with flowers and at 300 meters distance you find the first beach. This part of Crete, the stretch in the southeast eastwards of Makrigialos, is very rough with beautiful cliffs and mountains and lots of beaches. When you walk along the coast (especially around Kalo Nero) you will encounter one beach after another. Some beaches are easily accessible, other beaches more difficult and then there are always those beaches where you can not reach at all. In the area also the naturists can find a beach where it is possible to sunbathe without a swimsuit.

Taverns, mini markets and bakeries you can find around the corner in Analipsi and Makrigialos. Also if you drive along the coast towards the direction of Kalo Nero, you'll pass some restaurants.

The bungalows are also for sale at an asking price of xxxx and they can then be rented out for you if you like.

From the roof terrace (with sun beds and table and chairs) you have a beautiful view over the sea and the sunset. The largest beach in this area (the beach of Lagada or "Green Beach" so named after the many green pebbles that you can find on it) is right in front of the complex. It is a long and wide sandy beach where it is very quiet. I got the impression that most people do not even know it is there, because you can not see it from te road (we also missed it on our first stay at the Bayview Bungalows). I estimate it is about 2 kilometers long and 50 meters wide in some places. On this beach there is also room for naturists. You will get visits from cute little yellow birds.
