Loutra Edipsou in the northeast of the island of Evia , is connected by ferry to the village Arkitsa on the mainland. You can reach Loutra Edipsos via one of the bridges in Chalkida which connect the mainland with Evia or byto the ferry from Arkitsa on the mainland. The ferry takes about 30 minutes. The distance from Chalkida to Loutra Edipsos is approximately 110 kilometers.

The water from the sources of Loutra Edipsos are sulfurous and flows through the rocks into the sea. The water rises from about 3000 meters below the earth's surface. Around these water sources most of the major hotels have been put down. The beaches around Edipsos mostly consist of sand with small pebbles and the sea is generally shallow and there is little current. Therefore these beaches are also well suited for families with young children.
