Kalamakia is a small fishing village which is situated just north of Steni Vala. In the village there are a couple of very good fish tavernas that are directly on the sea. Kalamakia can be reached by car. There is no bus service to the village. In the village lies the small pebbly beach called Kalamakia Beach.

It is not really recommended to go swimming in Kalamakia because there are much better beaches in the area, for example in Steni Vala or nearby Agios Dimitrios. Many people go there for sunbathing and a dip in the sea, and then drive to Kalamakia for lunch or dinner because the fish tavernas there are very good.
