THE BEACH OF KOMITO ON THE ISLAND OF SYROS IN GREECE

One of the nicer beaches of Syros, a bit more remote and unspoiled. It is situated a bay that is surrounded by trees, in the southwest tip of the island, at 15 kilometers distance from the capital Ermoupolis. Unfortunately my camera was set for close-ups so the pictures left something to be desired. Komito Beach is a sandy beach and it lies close to the more popular beach of Agathopes (1 kilometer). If you want to go to this beach than you have to drive or walk the last part over an unpaved road. The beach is not very large but it has its own apeal because it is quiet. There are just a few parasols on the beach (but plenty of olive trees in the back in case you want to have a place in the shade). When you go to Komito Beach you have to bring a bottle of water with you because the small bar that is at the beach is not always open.
