Kyra Panagia Beach is a beautiful sandy beach that lies just above Atsitsa Beach, in the northwest of the island of Skyros (in May 2018 there was still quite a bit of seaweed though because it had not been cleaned yet). It is a quiet beach with no facilities (no umbrellas and sunbeds, no taverns, but in high season you can find a tavern in nearby Kalogria beach). At the beach, which is surrounded by pine trees, there are a few small houses and a small white square church with a blue door and a cross over the entrance. This is the Kyra Panagia church after which the beach was named. There are some icons inside the church and it has its original old wooden ceiling. Outside in front of the church there is an ancient column. The trees that surround the beach of Kyra Panagia provide some shade, but when you visit this beach it is smart to bring some sun block cream and a supply of water.
