The village of Mantamados on the island of Lesbos in Greece |
Mantamados is a fairly large village on the route from Mytilini to Molivos (northeast of the island). There are old factories with chimneys, cobbled streets, supermarkets, beautifully renovated mansions, a postoffice, a school, a farmacy, tavernas with terraces, and souvernir shops. It's lively, but in a nice way. The road to Molivas made a strange detour (in 2006) right through the village. |
