If you are looking for a quiet spot on the island of Mykonos than this beach is an option. It's remote and you will not find many people there. There are only a few houses and some gray buildings along the coastline where fishermen stall their boats when they are not sailing. There is a litle church on one of the rocks. Merchia, in the north east, is a pebble beach, and you will find litter that has been washed ashore. Nobody cleans it up. There are no tavernas, and for shade there is a big tree on the beach. I advice you to wear slippers when you get into the water. There is not so much litter floating in the sea, but the bottom is rather pebbly.
