The Monachus Monachus Apartments & Studios are located in the south of Crete, on a very quiet road that leads from the main road and goes towards the mountains. The complex is run by two nice young people, Spyros and Evi. In the terrain of Monachus Monachus is a parking lot where you can park your car. The distance to the beach, the fort and the nearest tavernas is approximately 250 to 300 meters. The complex consists of three buildings with studios and 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments, that are situated in a garden around a pool. It overlooks the sea and the fortress of Frangokastelo. The mountain range behind Monachus Monachus Apartments makes the scenery very beautiful. In the vicinity are several sand and pebble beaches, such as the beach of Frangokastelo itself, Orthi Amos Beach with its sand dunes, Laki Beach and some others.

We stayed here for a few days in September in a two bedroom apartment. There was a living room with a sofa and satellite TV, a well-equipped kitchenette with all appliances (coffee maker, kettle, toaster, various pans, utensils, crockery, glasses) and a dining table with chairs. We had two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with two single beds. There was also a bathroom with shower and toilet. Everything was spotless and it was regularly maintained, including the windows, clean new linen and towels and a complete cleaning. The living room had sliding doors to a nice large veranda with a table and chairs. From the veranda you had a view of the sea and the fortress of Frangokastelo. The Monachus Monachus Apartments for people who love peace and that are looking for great beaches that are not so crowded. There is not much traffic here. In the evening you can relax on your veranda with a glass of wine and a snack. Within walking distance of the Monachus Monachus Apartments you will find several tavernas and some supermarkets, where fresh bread is sold. There is a 125 m2 swimming pool with deckchairs and pergola. There is also a separate children's pool. At the pool you will also find a snack bar where you can order simple dishes.
