If Plomari is the capital of ouzo than Perama must have been on the second place. This village on the southwest of the Gulf of Geras contains many old buildings of ouzo factories, more than I have seen elsewhere. There are hotels and many tavernas in the harbour of Perama, and there is a small ferry to take you to the other side of the Gulf of Geras to Kountouroudia. Next to the old factories that are falling to pieces are many building skelettons for new houses to be. There is a small harbour with kaiks and motor boats, and there are piles of fishingnets. Just outside the village of Perama there is a picturesque windmill.
