Vathianos Kambos is actually a beach that belongs to Kokkini Chani and therefore it lies on the outskirts of the village to the west of it, towards Heraklion. It is a beautiful sandy beach where a number of umbrellas and sunbeds are for rent. There is a tavern nearby to get a drink. The disadvantage of this beach is that it is very close to the flight path of the airport of Heraklion (although some people might just like this). Occasionally there is some wind on the beach.
