My name is Kong. When I was fifteen years old, I had one girl I loved in Thailand. The girl's name was Mai Yia Vang. Mai Yia and I loved each other very much, but she and I had broken hearts.
At that time I was studying in school. I saw her at the school, and I asked her what she was doing? She said she wanted to see me. After that, Mai Yia loved me very much, and I also loved her very much, too. One day Mai Yia and I went to the beach. Mai Yia said to me, "If you love me, can we go to swim? Mai Yia and I swam in the river together, and she said she would love me forever, and she also said if I did not get married to her, she would stay single until she was old.
One day my cousin wrote a letter to me. He asked me to help him come to plant corn. I went to help my cousin plant corn for about two weeks, and when I came back home, I heard my mom and dad say my girl had gotten married to another guy. When I heard my mom and dad say that, I was sad, and I didn't eat food for two days. One day I went to the market. I saw Mai Yia at the market and she saw me, too. After that Mai Yia's friend came to tell me that if I wanted to see Mai Yia, I must go with her friend. I went to see Mai Yia in the park, and when she saw me she cried. I said to her, "Why are you crying? I thought when you got married to another guy, you forgot me," and I also said, "I hate that person who said she would love me forever." I said to Mai Yia, "If you miss me, you must look in the sky, and this is the last time I will see you. I will never see you again." I saw her cry and cry, but I came back home. Two years later, I heard someone say that Mai Yia and her husband divorced because her husband got married to another girl.
After that I got married to another girl, and I think I will teach my family not to be like my old girl friend because I don't want my family to have broken hearts in the future.
