As I find myself running, running fast,
I still do no realize why.
Running away from the things of my past,
My life has such a darkness – an overcast.
I cannot escape even though I try.
As I fight through this forest dense,
It keeps growing thicker, the deeper I go.
The things of my past do not make sense.
As I come to my conclusion, so hence,
I realize there are things that never will I know.
Sometimes I was not in my right state of mind,
Although I should have known what to do.
From this path in my head, I know I will not find
All of the answers I cannot see – I am blind.
I only see darkness, I want the skies of blue.
Why did I do that things that I did?
Knowing the consequences that would hit.
I have to face my life, not be a kid,
From all of the things that I have hid.
I have made my bed, and now I must lie in it.
