The Beatles On The Simpsons!

Season 2:

On the Halloween Ep, the opening credits pass through a graveyard and one of the stones says "Paul McCartney" refering to the Paul Is Dead rumor.

Marge is talking to Bart about Peace and Love and Homer says "Stop talking about that Maharishi Ghandi Stuff!"

Reverend Lovejoy calls for a public burning of all Krusty items after the Krusty was arrested for armed robbery. This was refering to the Beatles Burnings that took place after the "bigger than Jesus" comment.

Patty and Selma's co workers Stanley and Martha's wedding vows have two lines in them from the song "Martha My Dear".

Ringo Starr guest-stars as himself:

Bart says: "Hey, who's the mop-top with the big Schnozz?"

Marge had a schoolgirl crush on Ringo, to which Homer says "a likely story."

Ringo is living "Somewhere in England" still answering fan mail from the 60's with his butler, Weatherby. He replies to Marge's letter confirming that they do have French Fries in England, but they call them chips. Marge also sent a partrait of Ringo and he says it's "gear".

In Homer's version of "Spanish Flea", there is a lyric about the Beatles.

Season 4:

In Lisa's dentist dream, the dream turns into a missing scene from Yellow Submarine. ("Look, it's Lisa in the sky!", "No diamonds though...")

Season 5:

Marges protrait of Ringo is on her swampmeet stall.

The "Meet The Be Sharps" LP cover is just like the cover of "With The Beatles".

The firing of Chief Wiggujm and the 'anti-Barney' protests echo the firing of Pete Best and the hiring of Ringo Starr in '62.

After recording "Baby On Board" Nigel said "Gentlemen, you have just recorded your first Number 1." That's what George Martin said after the Beatles got done recording 'Please Please Me'.

Nigel tells Homer to keep his marriage a secret, which is what Brian Epstein told John Lennon.

The JFK Ariport and Interview scenes are just like the Beatles arrival in the USA, even down to Barney/Ringo combing his hair.

Homer Meets George Harrison:

Homer: "Then came the greatest moment of my life!"

George: "Hello Homer, I'm George Harrison."

Homer: "OH MY GOD!!! WHERE DID YOU GET THAT BROWNIE?!?!"

All the Be Sharps Merchandise: Mugs, Lunchboxes, Poisonous Funny Foam.... (Like the Beatlemania Merchandising Craze)

Bart: "What did you do, screw up like the Beatles and say you were bigger than Jesus?"

Homer: "All the time! It was the title of our second album!"

The 'Bigger Than Jesus' album cover looks like the cover of 'Abby Road' only they are walking on water.

The back of the 'Bigger Than Jesus' album looks like the back cover of the 'Sgt. Peppers Lonley Hearts Club Band' LP.

Peter Vesuwalla suggests Homer getting the idea for 'Baby on Board' from a car sign, and John Lennon got the idea for the song 'Being For The Benifit Of Mr.Kite' from a poster.

A parody of the infamous 'Get Back' session photo of the Beatles looking so down in the dumps.

Barney's new girlfriend is a "Japanese conceptual artist."

Barney and his girlfriend do some experimental music: Number 8

The rooftop reunion at Moe's, just like the rooftop gig on "Let It Be".

As the Be Sharps are doing this, George Harrison rolls by in his limo and states "It's been done."

After the preformance:

Homer: "I'd like to thank you on behalf of the group, and I hope we've passed the audition!".

Apu shortened his name, like Ringo.

The chorus of "The Surgeon General Song" is like "I Am The Walrus".

One of the corrections "Rock Bottom" offers is "The Beatles haven't reunited to enter kickboxing competitions."

Barney smokes a cigar and doesn't take off the wrapper. He sees "Sgt. Pepper" growing out of Homer's back.

The wig Bart wears when pretending to be part of the Shelbyville gang "makes him look a lot like one of the Beatles."

Season 7:

The DNA database includes Paul, George, and Ringo.

Paul and Linda McCartney guest-star:
Lisa: "I read about you in history class!"

Apu preforms "Sgt. Pepper" on the table.

Season 8:

Once again, the Ringo Portrait is seen.

The opening 'couchgang' is a parody of the "sgt. Pepper" LP cover. The opening music ends on the A-chord from the song "A Day In The Life".

During Homer's trip, Jaspers almost quotes Goo Goo Goo Joob from the song "I Am The Walrus".

The pyramid that Homer climbs to see the fox (after he ate the hot pepper) looks just like the one Fred had to climb in Yellow Submarine.

While running around in a hallucination; an old man states "Goo Goo G'Joob!"

Season 10:

Bart turns the senior citizens loose and the re-enact the "Can't But Me Love" scene from A Hard Day's Night. The end titles an album cover that looks like the A Hard Days Night cover but it's called A Bart's Day Night.
