Super Saiyan
When a Saiyan transforms into a Super Saiyan, his body goes through some changes. His hair gets spiked up and turns to gold and his eyes become green. A storm usually welcomes the transformation. Goku was the first to reach this level.

Super Saiyan 2
The Saiyan's body doesn't change much in this stage. The hair gets a little spikier and longer and muscle mass gets a little bigger. Gohan was the first to become Super Saiyan 2.

The Saiyan goes through a more dramatic change this time. The hair becomes more spiky and grows to knee length. He also loses his eyebrows and forehead enlarges. Goku was the first to become Super Saiyan 3.
