Feline Relations
Porscha had just arrived home after her job at New York Science of Genetic Experiments. She had just entered her apartment in-which she discovered Kat Williams asleep on the red sofa, Richard Denvin was in his bedroom and Shadow had just arrived home after having a drink with his good friend ‘Peter Parker.’ Porscha was dressed for bed and wandered over to the window, which over-looked New York City. She was just looking at what a beautiful and calm night it was when suddenly she saw a person, leaping over the roof-tops of New York. Porscha thought it was Kat Williams but it could not possibly be Kat, she was fast asleep. The strange character was leaping through windows like a feline. Porscha thought this was quite strange so she transformed into her combat costume and over the window and leaped out.
The feline person was a burglar and was robbing the apartments of every New Yorker. Porscha knew she had to stop the burglar, so she ran after the Cat Burglar. The person, who had turned out to be a female, was trying to escape Porscha but she could not. Porscha jumped high into the night air and plunged towards the women. She knocked her down and as the female feline fell to the rooftop ground, Porscha looked back at her apartment. It was a long way up for Porscha to climb so she waited until the burglar regained strength.
Porscha picked up the helpless women and began to climb the building to where she was going to place the woman in her bed and waited until she became better.
It was 11:00am when the Burglar regained her strength and Porscha had fallen asleep. She just was very tired from her busy day at her work place. The feline awoke and got up from Porscha’s bed. She wandered around when suddenly bumping into Richard Denvin. She became afraid and attacked Richard, he controlled Black and White Magic and made the feline freeze and collapse to the wooden floor. Porscha suddenly awoke from the loud crash of the body hitting the wooden floor. Porscha knew that something had gone wrong, and now knowing that the feline had disappeared, she ran into the lounge area. She thought that the burglar had been killed, and Porscha gave out a loud cry.
Shadow woke up from the cry and flew into the lounge area where everyone was; he looked down and saw the body. He gulped loudly and thought what Kat and Porscha thought, but Richard quickly assured everyone that she was just frozen until he broke the spell. Porscha wanted her captured to be just herself and the feline, so she made Richard turn her back to her normal stature and quickly. She ran into the utility cupboard where she grabbed a rope, tied it around herself, and ran back into the lounge, while everyone was trying to calm Porscha down, she was just rushing around the apartment. She wrapped the rope round the feline and tied a knot to reassure that she would not escape. She opened the window and looked back on her fellow team. They told her not to jump out but with one last look, she looked down at the roads of New York City and jumped. The feline regained strength now but she was pulled out of the window, she became so afraid she tried to hold onto the window ledge, but Porscha had jumped too soon and was going down fast. They both fell towards the pavements of New York.
Shadow, Richard and Kat quickly changed into their combat outfits and went after Porscha. Shadow flew down, Kat just jumped down and Richard flew down on his futuristic broomstick. Porscha still falling with the feline female behind her were nearly ending their journey. Porscha quickly grabbed a hold of a flagpole and waited until the feline caught up. She grabbed hold of her and they landed safely on the ground. They ran together through the back alleys to where they were at a stairway. Porscha knew where the stairway led to, so she and the feline ran down the stairs and passed the door.
Shadow, Richard and Kat were still searching for her and as they spilt up, Shadow came face to face with the Amazing Spider-Man. After they met in Central Park, they became good friends, and as Spider-Man knows all the villains in New York City, he would be a great help in finding Porscha. Shadow and Spider-Man went back to the apartment and Shadow told him what they were looking for. Spidey knew who the feline burglar was; she was called ‘Black Cat.’ Shadow wanted to learn more about the Black Cat, so he asked Spider-Man if he knew the identity of the Cat. Spider-Man knew that Black Cat would not remember him after she became a victim of amnesia after being thrown off the Empire State building by The Green Goblin. She never knew who she was after so she remained the Black Cat. Spidey told Shadow that the Black Cat was a muti-millionairess named ‘Felicia Hardy.’ Shadow had the name of the villain, so he and Spidey went off in search of the girls. Spidey knew Kat and Shadow knew Porscha, so it would be perfect to find them.
Richard and Kat met up outside the New York Bank, where they Morgana. She was the Queen of Water and after destroying Hydro-Man, she became invincible. Richard and Kat began to fight the Sea Goddess. Morgana created a tidal Wave around New York and if Richard and Kat would not back down and let her escape; she would destroy New York City in a flash. Richard and Kat made up a plan and by the chance of Black Magic, Richard formed a magic ball, which could capture another mutants power if touched. Morgana saw the ball and froze it, Richard became panicked now and as Kat tried to fight Morgana, she shot out a cage of ice, which captured Kat. As she said that if they would not back down she would flood New York but as she lived in New York, she would only flood half of New York. The tidal wave plunged onto New York, but as Richard was excellent at the Art of Magic, he made the whole of the tidal wave set on fire. His eye’s turned into fire and as a ball of fire surrounded him, he lifted up from the ground. He shot a fireball at the ice cage which Kat was in, he then moved swiftly towards Morgana. He raised his arms high in the air and shot down a fire cage, which trapped Morgana inside. He made the fire cage smaller and smaller until it disappeared. It was actually a teleporter to a prison cell where it sent Morgana. Richard lost his full power of Fire Magic and fell to the ground. Kat helped him up and as she knew he was not fit to carry on the search, she carried him back to the apartment where she made him rest. She went alone in search of Porscha and the Black Cat.
The two women, Porscha and Felicia were now in the sewers and as they was a secret place where Porscha went to think and away from the team and the busy life of New York. It was an inside apartment, which was built in the bottom of the building where her real apartment was. They entered the doorway and as Black Cat was still tied up, Porscha locked the door up with all her locks and codes. She carried her over to the sofa and made her sit down. Felicia was asking Porscha to free her, as she did not like small compartments. Porscha untied her and let air come through the air vents, so Felicia would not feel claustrophobic.
They began to start a conversation about their abilities, Porscha only had a mild amount of telepathy but Black Cat possessed proportionate strength, agility, endurance and mind of a cat. She was like Kat Williams but she was more advanced. They began to tell each about their lives and how they came to New York. Porscha told Black Cat that she was married to Kyle Eccleston and had roommates who were called Kat Williams and Richard Denvin. Black Cat could not tell Porscha much about her past, because of her condition of amnesia. Porscha comforted Black Cat about her past and as they both talked on into the night, Shadow and Spider-Man were still searching for them.
Shadow was getting increasingly nervous from which where his beautiful wife had gone too. Richard was asleep after using up his main magic and Kat had returned to rest. Spider-Man was worried about Black Cat and Porscha but Shadow and himself would have found them by now, so they returned to Shadow’s apartment. To their surprise, they found Richard and Kat fast asleep and another little surprise, Porscha and Felicia were safe in the lounge area. Spider-Man and Shadow calmed down and went over to the girls. Spider-Man hugged Black Kat and now knowing about some of her past, he asked Shadow and Porscha to leave. Spidey and Black Kat swung across New York towards the Statue of Liberty. They arrived on the top of the statue and waited until the sun went down.
Without Spidey sensing something was happening, a ray from a genetic sunray hit Black Cat, but this strike did not harm her, but it improved her, by making her past re-enter her mind. She knew of whom she was, where she lived and how to escape the costume of the Black Cat. She knew her real name, her life had been a blur since the accident but now she could do so much more with her mind. Spider-Man stood up with Felicia and as they began to rise, Felicia remembered her true love, Peter Parker who was the real Spider-Man. Black Cat was getting closer to Spider-Man and as she was about to kiss Peter, he stopped her and a new force of strength entered his body. He grabbed hold of her arms and threw her off the Statue, a new mind entered Spider-Man, an evil force which had made him throw her off. Black Cat knew more about her ability as she showed it by landing safely onto the metal foot of the Statue.
Shadow had placed a transmitter onto Black Cat’s clothing in order to find her if she went missing again. She sensed something was happening with Black Cat so he called for the team and they set off to find Spider-Man and Black Cat.
The team saw web shooting from the Statue of Liberty and they knew only one mutant could shoot web in New York. Without any of the team noticing that Mysterio was following them, they went over to the Statue. They saw that Spider-Man had hold of Felicia and knowing how to disable her mutant ability, he had removed her black mask. She was Felicia Hardy in the flesh, not the Black Cat anymore. I f Spidery was to drop her, she wouldn’t be able to save herself, Shadow looked up and saw Spider-Man and Felicia Hardy on the torch part of the Statue. He flew up as fast as he could, followed by Richard Denvin. They both flew as fast as they could go when Spider-Man let loose of Felicia and she went plunging towards her death. Richard flew over on his futuristic broomstick and was just about to catch her when she slipped right by him. He panicked and set his broom on full power, he was able to stand up on the broom. He flew down towards the ground and as he was straight below Felicia, he was able to catch her. He took her down to Porscha and Kat and told them to take her back to the apartment. They did as they were told and helped her to recover.
Shadow was on the top of the statue with Spider-Man now, and as he was trying to calm Spidey down, nothing was working. Richard landed safely beside Shadow and was ready to take on anything. They called upon a SR04, which met Shadow and Richard, four people in the team. This was a maneuver which had Shadow and Richard combined all their wisdom and powers together to create a knowledge ball. This could take out the powers of any mutant or kill them. They did the maneuver and it set out to destroy Spidey. The ball powered up and shot out, the only thing that surprised the two heroes was that the ball went right through Spidey and exploded in the cold waters below.
The fake Spider-Man had been made up from the mysterious Mysterio. He had captured the real Spider-Man after he and Black Cat left Shadow’s apartment. He was trapped somewhere in New York. Mysterio only left a warning from which Shadow and Richard should not look into. He told the two pathetic mutants that ‘thew whole world is nothing but a plot of films,’ and left Shadow and Richard. They were left wondering from what he meant, and as they did not know who Mysterio was, they had to find Spider-Man before it was too late.
Shadow first went to Mary Jane Parker, the wife of Peter Parker (Spider-Man). He went to ask her about Mysterio and who he or she really was. She first asked Shadow about Peter and where are his whereabouts, he could not dignify that with an answer because of he did not know for sure. She became worried but still helped Shadow and Richard, he went by the name of Quentin Beck and as a former special-effects designer he worked For Wonder Studios. He then became a stuntman then followed on to be a professional criminal. He was also in a group from which led by the Kingpin to destroy Spider-Man. He was a master magician and hypnotist; he could perform multiple sleights of hand simultaneously. He was also a skilled amateur chemist; he concocted a variety of explosives, hallucinogens and toxins of various strengths and effects. Shadow had the information but the only thing he could think of that could be a massive clue in finding Spider-Man, was that of Mary Jane said. Mysterio must of gone to Wonder Studios from where he worked as a special-effects designer. Shadow told Mary Jane not to worry about Peter and after saying their goodnight’s, Shadow and Richard flew off to Wonder Studios.
They flew over the buildings until they finally arrived at their destination. They flew over the gates and went entered by the top window of the roof. They could hear a man shouting for help, so they burst open a metal door and came to Spider-Man’s aid. The shouting of the man only turned out to be a film, which was being made. They were deeply regretful for interrupting and went for a look around, they discovered nothing to do with illusions or magic and so they went back to Mary Jane for more help in the search.
They arrived back at the residence of Mary Jane Parker and asked her for more information about Mysterio, but Mary Jane had remembered that Mysterio had committed suicide after his battle with Daredevil. He lost the battle and so he killed himself. Mary Jane could only think of one more person who could look or transform himself into another person and that was the work of the Chameleon. Shadow wanted more information on this character too but Mary Jane could only say that he was a professional criminal. Shadow also wanted to know why Mary Jane was always saying ‘was,’ which was implying that he had died or lost his powers. Mary Jane told Shadow and Richard about the Chameleons metal breakdown. After he was not prosecuted, the last sighting of him was apparently on the Brooklyn Bridge. Just before he had leapt to his death, his body was never discovered. Shadow and Richard looked at each other and thought that if his body was never found, he could have easily transformed into anything. He could have escaped and now that someone has appeared in New York City who can be able to manipulate his malleable flesh at will, the Chameleon would be perfect for the kidnapping of Spider-Man.
Mary Jane couldn’t think of any places to where the Chameleon would of gone with Spider-Man, only that of the Brooklyn Bridge to where he lost his fight with Spider-Man months before his death.
Back at the apartment, Porscha, Felicia and Kat were wondering what to do. They didn’t know where to look for Shadow and Richard but after Felicia had her real mind back, she could only think of two people who could of made up the fake Spider-Man, ‘Mysterio’ or the ‘Chameleon.’ Felicia also knew that only one was alive and that was the Chameleon so it must be him who had captured the real Spider-Man. They all set off to find a place where the Chameleon hung out when he was well known around New York City.
Shadow and Richard searched everywhere until they spotted an old lady who was running towards a dead end. They thought this was weird, on the count that they had never seen an old woman run so fast and right towards a dead end. It was around 2:00am and Shadow and Richard chose to follow their instincts and get the super speed grandma. They flew down, but just when Richard was about to grab the old ladies woolen jacket, the women ran straight into the brick wall. Shadow and Richard could not stop as fast so they went right through the mysterious wall along with the old lady.
Porscha, Felicia and Kat were still swinging around the buildings, searching for Spidey, Shadow and Richard. They had no luck in finding their friends but they did not give up.
Shadow and Richard had landed roughly in the hidden chamber from which must be the home of the Chameleon. They flew down a long tunnel, when suddenly they were in a well-lit room full of spider-Man pictures. They had knives, daggers, pins and pens all in the pictures, symbolizing how much anger he felt for Spider-Man. Shadow saw Spider-Man, tied up against a post, with his mask off. Shadow and Richard already knew of his true identity and quickly tried to free their friend. They managed to free Spidey, but the Spider-Man they thought they had freed was none other than the Chameleon. He used Mysterio’s special effect devices, which made a netting of metal catch the two helpless heroes.
Black Cat and Kat thought up an idea, which had Porscha using her telepathy powers to get in the mind of the Chameleon. Porscha did it, she had got into Chameleon’s mind and quickly got the whereabouts of Spider-Man and now Shadow and Richard. She shouted out the place where they would find Spidey, Shadow and Richard but the Chameleon was able to block her out of his mind. This made Porscha lose her telepathy powers which made her weak and collapse. Felicia told Kat to wait by her side until she regained strength again.
Black Cat went to New York Harbor and went on the pier. She dived into the cold, murky waters and swam towards an opening in the seabed below her. It was an atmosphere ball, no water could get through it, only humans. Black Cat had entered the place where Spider-Man, Shadow and Richard were. She crawled up the pipes and looked out of an air vent. She saw the evil Chameleon walking around the three victims. He was talking to them, saying how amazing he was after capturing the famous Spider-Man, and taking of his mask in record time. He recalled himself to when he was in the Sinister Six, saying that the other five of the evil villains could never accomplish this achievement of the defeat of Spider-Man. Spidey was trying to escape but there was no use. Shadow tried to use his phase ability but his powers had been disabled and so had Spidey’s and Richards. Black Cat had managed to open the air vent without making any sound. She crawled right above the Chameleon when she pounced on top of him. The Chameleon already knew she was in the room and not knowing to her knowledge, had pressed a button on his special effect cube. They were all transported to the Brooklyn Bridge to where the Chameleon had last been seen. Shadow, Spider-Man and Richard had all been freed and Black Cat had been placed next to Spidey.
The evil and corrupted Chameleon had just appeared in front of the four, as he wanted to watch the end of one of them. As he knew that Black Cat was held dear to each of the heroes hearts, he knew she would be the perfect bait to captured his foe, Spider-Man. As he wanted to fight just Spider-Man, he transformed himself into Dr. Octopus. This was to captured Shadow and Richard, he did as so and flung them off the bridge, they plunged into the water and were locked into a glass cage which sunk to the bottom of the seabed, no water could get in though.
The Chameleon grabbed hold of Black Cat by one of Dr. Octopus’s hands, he threatened to drop her off the bridge onto the road below, he removed her mask to let her die the human way. Spider-Man asked the Chameleon what he should do to protect Felicia, but suddenly, a huge gallon of water hit the Chameleon knocking him over and his disguise of Dr. Octopus disable and making him his normal Chameleon outfit. The strange water blast had come from Mary Jane Watson, the clone from the real Mary Jane Parker. The clone was made especially for Hydro-Man, who was Mary Jane’s ex-boyfriend, ‘Morrie Bench.’ He evaporated years ago as well as the clone of Mary Jane, but it regained strength again and has one last chance to prove that she was a hero. Chameleon fell towards the road, when Spider-Man shot out a web to catch him in. He pulled him back up and while he was tied up, Spider-Man ran over to the clone. He said that he had missed her and as he loved her as the real Mary Jane, he kissed her. She felt a feeling of love and emotion in her skin, but the Chameleon had escaped and the clone of Mary Jane used up her last bit of power to perform a water power which could trap any person in a water bubble for years. She made all the water around her, lift up, and collapse on the Chameleon. This created a power ball of water, he was screaming for help, but nothing could stop the process of the power ball. Shadow and Richard were freed from the glass box and as they swam up to the surface, they managed to see the Chameleon lost in the oceans for, maybe, eternity.
The clone of Mary Jane evaporated and Shadow and Richard flew up from the water and landed on top of the bridge. Sadly, Black Cat had disappeared, but as Spider-Man, Shadow and Richard landed on the road, they encountered her body, which lay frozen on the road. Spider-Man broke out in tears as he ran over to her dead corps. Shadow and Richard felt teary and as they shed tears, Porscha and Kat came to the bridge. The team was all back together, but as they pondered the death of Felicia Hardy, their emotions widened and Porscha ran over to her new friend and prayed to God to have her life instead. She was very upset from the loss and could not manage fighting crime with the team again, she thought that if she lost another friend or loved one, she would not make it through her life.
A few weeks later, the funeral of Black Cat took place in the New York Cemetery, Shadow, Porscha, Richard, Kat, Spider-Man, Captain America and his crew, Mary Jane Parker, Aunt May, and other fellow crime fighters came to see Black Cat Rest In Peace. A lot of emotion ran through everyone in the loss of her friends, partners, relatives and acquaintances. She was a well-known feline and now that she had gone, everyone was shocked to see her gone.
Months later, Porscha had not recovered well from the tragic loss of her friend, and as the team of ‘In the Shadows’ remained hanging from a thread, Shadow knew that his team would not succeed, so he packed in with the group, and asked Kat Williams and Richard Denvin to leave. They were both horrified with the idea of leaving that they came together to be partners in crime. They now create havoc in New York as Darkness and Eagle. Shadow made up a concoction that would make anyone who knew the true identity of him would easily forget when he called out the magic words, he allowed Spider-Man to know about who he really was. They both joined together after the loss of Black Cat; now they are true heroes throughout New York City. Porscha now stays at home and has forgotten what happened those past months, and now she is a hard-working science teacher who performs experiments to show her students about genetics. Unfortunately, Porscha’s telepathy had been lost and she was not a mutant anymore. Shadow works along side Peter Parker as a photographer. Peter Parker and Kyle Eccleston do excellent pieces of work for J. Jonah Jameson.
The loss and movement of Kyle’s team, friendship and family have all changed during the last months, but in a way, it has made Spider-Man and Shadow more involved with their work, Shadow’s relationship with Porscha increase and the excitement of New York rise. As a famous person said, ‘with great power, comes great responsibility.’
