This is a old farm town that has seen it's business life disapear and has become a sleeper town. It is located on Mc Lean County 1, about one mile north of Illinois 165 along the Bloomer Railroad. Cropsey is near the point where Ford, Livingston, and Mc Lean Counties all come together. The village was named for a Civil War colonel in the Union Army. |
