Favorites

Music: All kinds -- everything from the blues to the Beetles, from Oasis to Frank Sinatra. "Everything except Top 40," Chris says.
Singer: Bono from U2
Group: U2
Movie: Edward Scissorhands and The Apostle
Scary Movies: Holloween, Part 4. "This is the one where evil killer Michael Myers has been in a coma for fifteen years and he comes back to life while they're transferring him from one hospital to another."
Actors: "Johnny Depp -- he's the guy I'd like to pattern my career after. He's an icon for me. Also Robert Duvall. He should have won the Oscar for The Apostle. Lately, I've started to appreciate Billy Bob Thornton, too. And you have to admire Leonardo DiCaprio -- not just for Titanic, but before that, holding his own against Robert De Niro in This Boy's Life. That was amazing."
Material Possession: Chris wasn't the kind of kid who cared a lot about material possessions -- still doesn't. "I never saved up to buy anything. I never wanted a big stereo or a car or anything. My needs are pretty simple."
His Advice to You: "Don't worry about things. Life exists after high school. I know it's difficult when you start to feel you're all by yourself, but it's not that big a deal. People who come out of it realize, now I can get on with things, and get into what I want to get into. Those are the people who have the mind-set to go after their goals. All I can say is find the thing you like to do, but don't obsess about it. Just enjoy doing it. If you like reading, and people make fun of you because you're alone in the library, reading a book, don't worry about it. That eventually is going to lead to something creative. And if acting is what you want, believe me, you're not going to feel like an outsider in that community. You're going to have a blast. If you have fun with it, take the initiative and go out and do some shows."
