Menard Eagles beat Buckeye Panthers 56-72
Tuesday night the Buckeye Panthers took on the Menard Eagles in a very
anticipated game. The game was well in favor of the Eagles, with a chance that
the Panthers could catch up. This didn't happen, ,unfortunately. The crowd
roared, the fans screamed and hollered, it was still not enough the motivate
the team to win. Toward the end of the game, the Panthers started gaining
points, but there wasn't enough time left. The Menard Eagles won the game 56-72.

Buckeye Basketball for 2003 Over
Well after a hard played year, the Buckeye Hish School Basketball Season is
almost over. These boys and girls have played many many games, and won many of
them. There were losses, but we will not remember them, ,we can't ponder on our
mistakes, rather learn from them. This years seniors, Mic Slocum, Brandon
Nugent, Cale Haney, Joel Jordon, Devin Prestridge will be gone next year after
several years of Basketball Glory. These seniors will be moving on, and a new
set of Seniors will take their place. We, the class of 2005, would like to say
good luck, and congratulations.

Cross Country
|
Coach: Brad Spier
Cross Country is about the most endurance heavy sport that we have.
Running for a long period of time may seem easy, try it, you will soon thing
otherwise. Because of this, only the fittest of Buckeyes students are able to
participate in the rigorous event.
|
|
Powerlifting
|
Coach: Ed Newman
Pumping iron is not a weekend recreation time for these athletes, it's a part
of everyday training. These are among the strongest of Buckeyes students. Many
of which in the past have went to state competing in their weight class. Under
the guidance of Coach Newman, they go to powerlifting meets on the weekends and
compete against other students, that like them, are out to win for their school.

|
Baseball
|
Coach: Jimmy McPhate
Baseball is a very popular sport at our school. They train many months in
advance to hit the field and win. Baseball is a test of skill, speed,
strength, and strategy. With all of this, you must be skilled and coordinated
to take part in this fast paced game.
|
|
