As one can plainly see, shuko are the coolest things in existence. Shuko are also known as te kagi, although shuko is the correct name. They are claws that ninja used to climb things and counter sword attacks. They would counter sword attacks by catching the swinging blade with the metal band across their palms, and swipe the opponent's face or other body surface with the other shuko. Cool, isn't it?
