Darkstar: The previous leader of Thunder’s herd, as well as Thunder’s good friend and mentor. He was a large white unicorn with a black, star-shaped marking on his forehead. He vanished one day from the herd (five years prior to book 4) and never returned. His herd were unaware that he had defaeted the magician Tychus, in the body of a unicorn, in battle. After Tychus died he inhabited the body of a basilisk and poisoned Darkstar with his stare. Delirious from the poison, Darkstar wandered into an ice dragon’s cave and became a prisoner of the dragon. He was freed from his ice imprisonment by Pixel, Score, Thunder, and Nova. He died shortly after from the basilisk’s poison. Dave: An underling of Tony who works with Brio. Destiny: A psychopathic and very powerful magician. She used to work for the Triad. She gave Sarman inside information as a spy. She believed Sarman’s agreement that they would rule the Diadem together as husband and wife. However, Sarman doubled crossed Destiny by secretly exposing her treachery to the Triad. As punishment, the Triad decided to use her as a test subject for their reincarnation spell. They sent to Earth reborn, paralyzed from the waist down. As a result, Destiny holds a deep hatred against the Triad. In her reincarnated body, Destiny was petite, dark haired, and very pretty 13 year old Asian girl. She was adopted by the Mr. Toshiro, who wanted to take advantage of her magical abilities. Destiny is ruthless, cunning and power-hungry. She even murdered her own sister on Zarathan so she could drain her magic powers. She also developed an attraction towards Pixel, but later kidnapped him to Zarathan so she could drain his powers and those of Helaine and Score. She died on Zarathan when the egg hatched, and was swallowed up. Diadem: The universe of planets that contain magic. The way planets are arranged in space is irrelevant to their order in the Diadem. It is essentially a layered sphere of circuits or dimensions. The magic is most strongly concentrated at its center, Jewel. Travel in the Diadem has to take place between two adjacent worlds. Digit: Virtual Reality buddy of Pixel. Pixel doesn’t know if he is a real user or an AI friend. He was Pixel’s best friend on Calomir. Disruption: What Beastials call the random disorder in magic caused by the incomplete Analog. Dondar: Planet in the Inner Circuit of the Diadem, and at the shortest point, (by means of Portal traveling), to the center of the Diadem, Jewel. Both unicorns and dragons reside there. Dondar is one of the most beautiful worlds in the Diadem with its faint purple sky, pink clouds, blue grass, and exotic bent trees with blue, purple and orange leaves. It is represented in the Analog by an opal. Dragon Marshes: Unpleasant terrain on Dondar which is Dragon territory. Dragon: Creatures of magic that live on Dondar. Multiple types exist, such as Water, Ice or Fire. They generally have thick skins, spines down their back resembling a stegosaurus, a long tail that ends in two long spikes, wings, long legs with large claws, an elongated snout, and a mouth packed with teeth. They are able to breathe fire (or sometimes only ice) and fly. Their flight ability comes from the hot gases within their bodies that make them lighter than air, similar to a hot air baloon. Dustdevil: Flame’s male unicorn friend on Dondar. He is the same age as Flame.
