From Cinecon: The force is with us. We caught up with Hayden Christensen who gave us these choice tidbits about "Star Wars: Episode II." -Cindy Pearlman ~ CineCon

Q: Tell us about the filming?

Christensen: "It was basically me and Natalie and George plus this huge cast working in Australia, Italy, Capri, Naples, Tunisia, Spain and London. I'm just this Toronto boy and this was my first time out of North America. It was really cool to see the world on the George Lucas tour bus. Plus being around all this talent really brought up my level of acting."

Q: Did the European fans swarm the set?

Christensen: "There is such a realm of secrecy around these films that people would try to infiltrate the set. It was strange because no matter what city we were in, everyone knew where we were at each moment. But the other good thing is that everyone on the set including the crew was in the same boat and no one minded the frenzy There's a common bond on these films from the key grip to the best boy. You're actually beside yourself to be in a Star Wars movie. It's great energy. There's a lot of love."

Q: Speaking of love scenes, you said this is a big romance. Do you have a lot of clinches with Natalie Portman?

Christensen: "Let's just say there are some nice moments between us. I can't give too much away. But one of the main storylines exists between us and we go right to it. Jake Lloyd, the little boy from the last movie, isn't in this one. I take over right away and there is an attraction with Natalie."

Q: Jar Jar -- pro or con? Fess up.

Christensen (laughing): "Hey, I love the guy. But there are no love scenes between me and Jar Jar. I can tell you that much."

Q: What was the most mind boggling part of the whole process?

Christensen: "Look, I'm just this kid from Toronto who got his start in school plays. I still live with my folks who make me mow the grass and take the garbage out. Then one day, I'm on this multimillion dollar set surrounded by R2D2 and C3PO. Every nuance was surreal. The saber. A thrill. The outfit and cloak? Mind boggling. Meeting R2D2. An out of body experience."
