Cricket Mania
(World Cup a thrill, not to kill)
The tension of major supporting events can trigger an epidemic of
heart attacks, researchers warned today. The rate of heart attacks increased by 25% in England when country's football team crashed out of 1998 World Cup, according to new findings.
The research findings are among a series of quickly & bizarre medical reports that appear, in tradition, in the
Christmas edition of British Medical Journal.
When England lost the match, Prof.Douglas Carroll of Birmingham University UK & Prof.Shah Ibrahim, of Bristol University
UK, said the increased rate of heart attack continued for 2 days following the match. They said,
" The excess admissions maybe attributable to spectators emotions during very tense endings ".
And now as World Cup is coming each & every one is involved in this, some people make the match as a matter of life &
death. Specially match between Pakistan & India is of significant importance so obviously people will involve in this match as
much as possible.
BUT
We should enjoy sports otherwise sports will not enjoy us.
