02.25.03, 1:05 am Wel, just a quick update, with pictures!!!! This is basically to post new pictures of me, with my new and improved hacked off hair. And I mean hacked. Check out the 'layers' at the back. They're awsome. Anyhoo, enjoy. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9. KATYA 02.23.03, 3:01 am Well, I practiced for a coupla hours today, and I finally finished my recording for Domaine Forget that I have to send off this week. I've had a pretty low-key week, and it's been really nice. Catherine's been out that past two nights and missed the last train home so had to stay and Chen's house (who she is always with) so I've had the room to myself. And Peter's in Omaha, so it's just been Tom and I, sitting around, watching really really really bad movies on TV. And I mean really bad. Today, I watched a TBS Superstation origional movie called "Atomic Twister" about some fools who built a Nuclear power plant in the middle of the tornado belt, and then were surprised and shocked when a tornado came along and almost caused a meltdown. It was only through the cunning and quick thinking of everyone in the small town the plant was in that saved everyone, of course. And the acting was terrible. Really really really really terrible. But yet I still watched it. Why? Because I can. KATYA 02.19.03, 7:37 pm Ugh. I just played The Sims for PS2 for about 8 hours. Straight. And now I don't fell so good. And I got up at 7 am this morning to drive with Cath back into Toronto from Brantford, where we were visiting our friend Tegan, cause Catherine had a rehearsal at 10 this morning. Ugh. And, I cut my hair. Off. Like, almost all off. It is now very short. I did it mostly cause it was pissing me off, because of my perm that I had, so 3/4 of my hair was really dry and damaged and frizzy, and 1/4 was nice normal straight hair. So I cut it. Well, not me exactly. Tegan, in her kitchen in Brantford cut my hair. Ah, the memories... KATYA 02.16.03, 2:36 am Well, I went to the big peace march in TO today. Well, technically yesterday. Anyways, we all gathered in Dundas Square at Younge and Dundas, heard some speaches, and then marched west on Dundas to University, south on University past the US consulate to Queen Street, west on Queen until MuchMusic (where I think Sum41 was doing a Live@Much), south on whatever that street is, I think John, and then one block past King, and then east a block to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. It was a nice little jaunt, the heavy police presence and barriers around the US Consulate was funny. They're obviously afraid of a peaceful protest, cause they know they've pissed everybody off. But I didn't stick around for the speaches after the march, cause my ass was freezing. Literally. Well, I guess it was literally frozen. I seriously couldn't feel my ass. I must say, it was an odd sensation. But anyways, it was fun, I was just sad because I didn't really know anyone there. I know that if I went to the one in Stoon I'd have known lots of people. And I was also sad cause only 10 000 people showed up in TO. I mean, it's the biggest frikken megacity in Canada, and they could only get 10 000?! They had 100 000 in Montreal, and 1 million in Rome and London. 10 000? That's pitiful. I bet the Saskatoon march got more (per capita) than the Toronto one did. I chalk it up to the total apathy Torontonians have to anything or anyone but themselves. I was wishing that my mom and dad had a cell phone, so I could talk to them while we were both marching. I think that would have been fun. Anyways, I should probably get to bed, even though it's, like, y'know, no fun... KATYA 02.14.03, 1:48 am I am SO GLAD that reading week is here. I've been pulling 10-13 hour days, and it's very tiring. And Tom just bought a PS2, so now I can watch my Buffy and Angel DVDs. And play Grand Turismo and maybe rent the Sims. Good times are definatly ahead. On monday I was at school for 13 hours. That really sucked. And I missed Buffy on tuesday cause we went out for martinis after our rehearsal with Ramona. But I did make it in time for Angel, and did see Buffy after I downloaded it onto Tom's computer. Oh, and Dave Falloon came into town last weekend so we hung out a bit. He says hi to Cayley, if you read this CfH. I dunno, I have no real news other than I've been insanely busy. I got to sleep in today, and it was so nice!!! On wed. it was all I could do to drag myself out of bed for my 9 am lesson. ugh. I am so not a morning person. I have also been informed that there are not enough props to Soul D on my sight. So I have added the banner at the top of the page, and would also like to state for the record that Soul D is the coolest and y'all should check him out. If you want to read Soul D's reviews of sites head over to Demonica. KATYA 02.08.03, 12:06 am Wow. This week has gone fast. But I bought some really great clothes! See, all the stores are trying to get rid of all their winter fashions, to make way for their spring/summer lines. Cause, y'know, it's so warm outside. So anyhoo, I was wandering around the Eaton's Centre, and Garage Clothing was having this insane sale. I bought a little black dress that I can wear to the GGS formal in spring for $5. It's really nice too!!! An I also got a $5 shirt, a $10 sweater, and a pair of jeans for $15. So I'm all set. And I'm going over to Ruth's house tomorrow with Michelle to watch the 6 hour BBC Pride and Prejudice. And our plan is to make a drinking game out of it. Like, take a shot whenever there's a closeup of Colin Firth or something like that. Should be fun. And Daveed Faloon emailed me to say he's coming to town this weekend, so he's supposed to call me. I'll see if I can fit him in my busy schedule..... KATYA 02.04.03, 11:21 pm I'm very tired and am getting ready for bed, so this will be short. Right now it's about -17 and we have no heat in our house, so it's kinda cold. I'm actually quite frightened that his house will implode with us in it. It is literally falling apart. There's a hole in the ceiling of mine and Catherine's room that leaks occasionally, when Marie upstairs runs her sink, it rains in our kitchen, and our bathroom roof is about to cave in. But it's not as bad as upstairs. Marie said that the roof leaks really bad, and a couple of days ago when it was raining water started to leak from the light fixtures. Now I'm no mechanic, but electricity, lights, and water and like oil, water, and a third unmixy thing. But all I know is that it has to be bad. Oh, and the one bedroom upstairs is full of mold, so Marie's called the health inspector on Euguene (the landlord). I'm going to bed all early and shit cause I have a lesson an 9 tomorrow. And I had one at 10:30 this morning, and I was supposed to have one at 9:30 on monday morning, and I still showed up, but Steve got the times messed up. But it still meant that I got up early. So I'm going to bed to get my beauty rest....I'll let you know if it helps.... KATYA |
