Well, I don't really have much to say, but I thought I'd better put something up here. I've been busy like a beaver since I got home. Getting ready to move to Toronto? Ha! No! I haven't started packing or anything yet. Although I did do my laundry - it took me about a whole week. I have a lot of clothes... No, but I've been busy cause everyone wants to spend time with me before I leave. aw..... And I went to the lake with my family this past weekend, and it was so awsome! so nice! mmm...beach...

Well, I'm finally home. And man does it feel good. As always, I'm glad to be home, but also sad to leave NYO. Last night, well technically the night before last night, was our last concert in Victoria, and then the party at the Velox club. I had to leave early to catch the early ferry to catch my flight home, so unfortunatly I didn't get to see how well Aaron, Jeff, and Gabe were doing in the morning. cough cough. ha, but I was with Ian, whose only sleep was the hour he passed out on Jeff White's floor. When we left for the bus depot he was still kinda drunk and it was hilarious. But I feel sorry for the poor bunnies at UVic - apparently Scapinello and Ian were running around trying to piss on them when they were shitfaced. Ah, musicians. Always the classy ones. Anyhoo, I kinda have to sleep, but before I go, I just have to mention how sucky it is that Wil got cut out of Nemesis. Oh well. I'm sure it will still be pretty cool.

Greetings from Tokyo! Ohio gozaimas. konichiwa. doidashimashte. Japan has turned out to be totally awsome, although the extreme humidity and smog is killing me. The people here are so incredibly nice, and will go out of their way to help you if you're lost or somthing. Maia and I had this guy who walked us like 5 blocks to make sure we got to the place we were going. Tokyo is also the biggest city I have ever seen. And I thought Toronto was big! well, I guess I really am a small town girl at heart. Today was our free day in Tokyo, and so we went sight seeing to the Imperial Palace, and Electric City. I got a Uyeno-Eni Tokyo Hard Rock Cafe tshirt just to prove that I was in fact in Japan. I have presents already for anne and cayley, but I don't know what to get graeme. I wanted to get him something electronic and gadgety, but without spending more than 1000 yen. But the problem is that everything is so freaking expensive here. Or at least in all the places I went today. A minidisc player was going for 20-40 thousand yen. that's like, alot of money, since 2000 yen is about 30$ canadian.
I was having difficulties trying to withdraw yen off my Visa but I solved that problem by finding a machine that let me withdraw yen from my bank account. it listed my balace in yen, and it was like 900 000 or 90 000 - some impressive looking number like that.
They have the wierdest soft drinks here. There's one called Pocari Sweat, which is kind of like grapefruit gatorade, but not very good. and there are many many many different types of tea that comes in a can and you buy from a Coca-cola vending maching. But the best part of Japan? beer in vending machines on the street. Man, I love this country. Well, I'm at the Yahoo cafe at the top of the executive tower in the fabulous Shinigawa Prince Hotel. This hotel is majorly awsome. it has like 4 towers to it, it fits something like 300 000guests. it has 10 movie theatres, 1 imax theatre, a 105 lane bowling alley, about 20 different restauraunts including a traditional Japanese one, and a Kareoke bar, a mini shopping mall, and indoor tennis and golf. Oh, and two pools. But it costs 1000 yen to use them so nobody did. I really wanted to go bowling, or play tennis, but I was out all day. I might do some kareoke tonight though. It depends if I can find someone to do it with me. we'll see. so, siyonara gozaimas everyone.

p.s. did I mention I met a prince? he was the coolest prince ever in the history of the world. And I should know, since I have met every single prince ever. so there.

I'm not lying. I really don't know what day it is. Numerically that is. I know that today is Thursday, yesterday was Wednesday, and the day before that was Tuesday. (forgive if there are spelling errors, cause I still don't know how to spell the days of the week.) We had our first concert of the tour, in Kingston of course, on Tuesday, and our second last night (wed). They were supercool! The Symphonie Fantastique on tues night was, er, fantastique! But seriously folks, it really really was. Hub said that we were the best orchestra in 20 years, which is saying alot cause Hub never says anything nice if he has to. So there. Na na na boo boo.
And we got our per diem today to last us until Japan baby!!! And then I promptly used it to buy my wonderful NYO shirts. 1 red tshirt that says NYO ONJ is white letters with a maple leaf, and one gray long sleeve tshirt that has a little NYO ONJ logo thingie. And then on the back is says something like 'tour 2002 japan and hong kong' anyhoo, super cool!
So, we head off to Ottowa tomorrow, and TO town the day after. I am so stoked dude!!! And i think I'll stop now because I have lost all ability to type. I keep hitting the wrong buttons etc and I need to get off the computers cause the library people are getting mad at all the people (all nyoers checking their email one last time before tour). so, so long suckers!!! moomoohahahahaha!!!!

p.s. anne, don't mail me my cds cause I won't get them. just hold on to them for me til august. thanks a billion kajillion.

Well, hello from fabulous Kinston Ontario. The cafeteria food sucks majorly, and I think the bed might actually have bugs. But other than that I'm just hunky dory. So this is the end of the first week of the training session here at
NYO and I'm doin pretty good. I got principal violist for the Don Juan, Pines of Rome, and Symphonie Fantastique. I'm sitting assistant for the Daphnis and Chloe, Valses Nobles et Sentimentales, and the Roman Carnival Overture, and then I'm sitting 3rd chair for the Prokofiev Symphony No. 6, Mendelssohn Midsummer Night's Dream Overture, Forsythe Jubilee Overture, and the mighty 1812 Overture. Which is totally awsome. Oh, look, there I go again talking like Brooke. Oh well.
So, yeah. That's about it. Other than 'the incident' but I don't want to start a rumor mill so I'm just gonna keep quiet. Cause it didn't REALLY involve me, so, meh. ttfn dahlins!

And since it's Gil's birthday on the 3rd, I passed on the birthday hat, and I'm gonna write her a letter at the T.O aeroport tomorra, and I got a little present to put inside! So, the moral of the story is, MAIL ME!!! It makes me feel important, like I actually have friends (which we all know is a huge lie). So yeah....

Well, it sure has been a while since I last updated this thingie. We had our grad today. Surprise surprise I actually got an award! Mrs. Whittles made this whole long speech about all the things I've done, and blah blah blah, and then presented me with the Paul Peters Memorial Bursary from the Centennial. Yeehaw. I was so surprised though. Craziness. And I got a Social B, which means that I actually did stuff in my school, and I'm not just a music geek! whoo. So, now it's officially over. And man, was Hedlin wearing a hideous suit jacket. horrible. So my family and I are going out for supper at the Blue Diamond, then I rented a whole shitload of movies, and I'm gonna stay up all night!!! Well, maybe not ALL night, since I have to have my picture taken tomorrow for the Bursary thing so they can put it up in the foyer of the Centennial, and I don't want to look like a zombie..... Anyhoo, a pretty good day. And freakin hot. I don't know exactly what the temp is, but I'm sure it's above 30. ouch.

WHOOHOO!!!! I got my drivers license today (finally!). I took my test in Jimbob's car, a really nice, like, 6 year old honda civic. It was standard, which was good because I don't like automatics. So, now I'm happy. Hap hap happy. And.....I'm done school. I had my last final yesterday, and now I'm so incredibly done high school. And never shall I return.
So, a couple a days ago, I decided to get an email address at wtf. I've had an address there before, but their mail was funky so I closed it and got a yahoo one. well.....I got my new address k.wo@whatthefuck.com and sent an email to everyone telling me to email me there, then I found out that their email is still fucked up. Apparently, when i tested it, I can send messages, but I can't recieve them. Whatever. So if you're reading this and you got an email from me, ignore it. Keep on using my Yahoo address. So, that's all my exciting news. I gotta go write my essay for the CP scholarship. And then clean house cause Aunty Lynn's in town and is coming over for supper. Arrivaderci, Siyanara, ttfn.

So, I got back from provincials today. Oleksa won the viola/cello/doublebass class, and the Catherinator won the violin class! Yeehaw! So, I start my "finals" tomorrow. I'm listening to Alice Cooper's School's Out for the Summer to get me in the mood. So being in Regina and hanging out with CHump was cool. On Friday night we went to the Regina Public Library and saw Le Battement d'ailes du papillon, aka Happenstance. It had Audrey Tautou who was in Amelie which GHump and CHump saw last week at the RPL. It was pretty funny, a nice light fluffy movie. Then last night we went and saw The Bourne Identity, which was totally awsome. I wanna go see it again, and I totally reccommend it. So, that's about it for now. Oh, and I read something slightly disturbing at WWDN. Read about it here and here This is really quite disturbing, and makes me very happy I don't live in the United States of Busharica

Last day of school, last day of school!!!! Man, I went out and bought a new discman today. I broke down, cause my Sony one has been broken for a couple months, and I miss it. It the same kind as Cayley's, I bought it about 2 1/2 years ago, it's treated me well, but it broke. The connection inside the discman to my headphones got fucked up somehow, and it would only play the background, not the singer. Very annoying. And of course my warranty was up 1 1/2 years ago... So I went to A&B Sound and got a Panasonic on sale. With a three year warranty this time. And a couple a days ago I also broke down and bought the Buffy Season 1 DVDs. But I haven't told mom yet about either, cause I just know I'll get a lecture on how I should be saving all my money for this summer, blah blah blah. I have like $1000 saved, plus I got my credit card for Japan in the mail yesterday. Last year I did the whole tour on about $200, so I really don't think I won't have enough money. Plus, I am going to try and save some of my money so I have some startup cash for when I move to TO. So there mom. But she just doesn't listen to sense like that. Her logic never resembles our earth logic.

Moomoohahahaha!!!! tomorrow's the last day of school, and it's a shortened day, so I get out at 2! And then on Friday I'm going to Regina for the Provicial music festival (I play on Sat.), and Barb's invited me to her Canada Day shindig. This day just keeps getting better. Well, gotta keep up my mantra. onemoreday....onemoreday....onemoreday....

p.s. It rained monday and tuesday. Yay!

06.08.02, 5:42 pm
Man, only 4 more days of school! But, alas, the dreaded history paper is due on Tuesday, and I just really started yesterday, so I'm superbusy working on that plus volunteering at the Children's Festival today and my recital and the Symphony BBQ tomorrow. So, I really don't have much to say other than, I will somehow get this crappy paper done, and then I'll be done! NO MORE HIGH SCHOOL!!!! Oh, and this out. It's superfun.
Oh, and rent Donnie Darko, cause it's superawsome.

You know what's scary? It was Anne's 13th birthday on fri(May 31) and we're having the party today. She's a teenager but she still finds it difficult to eat ice cream without it ending up on her chin......I shouldn't say that though, she's cute. And she got a cd burner for her bday. She's my new bestest friend in the whole wide world. Cayley left the doll Fred gave him as Anne's bday present. It's a naked doll with shoes, and only one eyebrow, and a pattern for you to crochet it a dress...... very odd. But anyhoo, I have to go check if my illegal copy of Appleworks downloaded good.
