I am happy and proud to announce I have finished my
football career. It has been eleven years of mostly
happy times and some rough times. I wish the best for
the Lions this year in their new stadium. Especially
to my great friend and teammate, Robert Porcher. I'll
be watching you gentlemen as you fight the battles this
season. I feel very fortunate to have my health still
with me and that the physical damages to my body have not
left me in great pain or crippled. Sometimes you just
have to know the time for it to be over.

I recently purchased a condo in South Florida on North Hollywood
Beach it is just a few miles north of Miami. I still maintain
my home in Michigan.
It is beautiful there and I am becoming acclimatized to the heat
to some extent. I am taking classes at a local college to learn
more about real estate and good business pracitces.
I continue my Yoga and am making a lot of good friends there. My
old friends have visited me there also. I can look right out onto
the beach and there is a fishing pier a little ways up the beach.
Life is good. I continue my working out and dieting to keep my
body healthy and work to keep my mind spiritually strong.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

"Renew thyself completely each day; do it again
and again, and forever again."
.....Chinese inscription cited by Thoreau in Walden

I got off on last Halloween for a change and got to hand out treats.

Don Burdett and I enjoy a meal in Michigan

My friend Curtis is always good for a laugh and a good time.

My alma mater, Coffeyville Community College inducted me
into their hall of fame. I am pictured here with my
favorite coach.
