Before leaving, I would challenge you to take a few minutes and look through this page. I believe you will be amazed at the facts found here.

 There has been many people throughout time who have claimed special insight into the future. One of the most profound visions of the future was given 2,000 years ago to a small group of men gathered on a hillside outside of Jerusalem.

These men came to their Teacher, Jesus of Nazareth and the question they asked Him prompted a response that amazingly targeted the days that you and I are now living.

Matthew 24:3 "And as He [Jesus] sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him, saying, 'Tell us, what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?'"

Jesus answered them with dozens of specific indicators to be on the look out for.

We will look at some of the signs Jesus told us to look out for; as well as other prophecies that were given to us as "signs of the end" by many other prophets through out time...

Before starting, there is very interesting and important perspective we need to keep in mind as we look through these "Signs". That being--- The Bible tells us is that these "signs" would come upon mankind as, "labor pains upon a pregnant woman."(1 Thessalonians 5:1-3). Keep in mind when a woman goes into labor, the pain increases as time goes on until the final out-come has arrived.

Therefore, as time goes on we should see an increase within the signs given to us. The more it increases the closer we are to the end.

On that note, let's begin to look at just The Facts and only The Facts! 

 In all of history, we have never see an increase of wars like we have in the past 20^th century… The International Red Cross estimates that over 100 million people have been killed in wars since the 20^th century began.

The United Nation’s F.A.O. reported that the number of people going hunger everyday has grown to more than 850 million. Even more shocking is the number of children that die to hunger related causes, which have grown to an amazing 5 Million Children every year. "Some 40,000 hunger- related deaths occur every day, mostly in rural regions," says World Bank Vice President Ismail Serageldin.

 According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, more than 34.6 million Americans are victims of food insecurity and more than 12 million U.S. children go without food at least once a week.

 Statistics also show that, more than One Billion people worldwide will go to bed hungry tonight and MILLIONS worldwide actually die from hunger and malnutrition each year. The list goes on

“At least 30 new diseases have emerged in the last 20 years and now together threaten the health of hundreds of millions of people. For many of these diseases, there is no treatment, cure or vaccine.” Just within the turn of the new century alone, we have seen an increase of viruses: Yellow Fever, Cholera, Legionellosis, Meningococcal and Crimean-Congo-Haemorrhaic are just a few examples.

The most well-known and fastest growing disease of all would be HIV/AIDS. UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS, in its year-end report released in December 1996, stated that 3.1 million new HIV infections occurred worldwide that year. UNAIDS report ending in December 2004 showed an unimaginable global increase, stating that in 2004 there were now 5 Million new HIV infections, 3 Million deaths due to AIDS, and 40 Million currently living with HIV/AIDS.

The Universal Almanac tells us that there were only 21 earthquakes of major strength between the years 1000 and 1800. But between 1800 and 1900 there were 18 major earthquakes. Between 1900 and 1950, there were 33 major quakes-almost as many as the number in the preceding 1,850 years!

Between 1950 and 1991 there were 93 major earthquakes-- almost triple the number of the previous half century-which claimed the lives of 1.3 million people around the world. Between 1992-2001 there were 171 major earthquakes-- That's 6 TIMES the amount between 1900--1950!!!

National Earthquake Center reports: On an annual average based since 1900. YEARLY: There are 17 Major, 134 Strong, 1,319 Moderate, 13,200 Light & 130,000 Minor earthquakes. On a magnitude of 2-3, there are 1,000 per day. On a magnitude of 1-2, there are 8,000 per day.

Aside from the list of dismal signs given to us by Jesus, He also stated another specific sign to look for. That was, His gospel would be preached in the entire world to all nations. After this the End would come upon the world.

No time in history has the Gospel been preached in the world to all nations as it is right now. This is being done by missionaries and by the modern mediums of radio, TV, and telecommunications. According to The Almanac of the Christian World, the Gospel message has now been preached to over 4 billion people, in virtually every country.

In Noah's days, "the earth was corrupt before God, and filled with violence" (Genesis 6:5,11). Today's headlines are full of tragic stories filled with senseless violence. The World Health Organization reports: Globally-- Every 1 minute someone is murdered / Every 0.45 seconds someone commits suicide / Every YEAR 40 million children are subjected to child abuse./ Each year: more than 1.6 Million people worldwide lose their lives to violence.

Just within the United States alone: The annual homicide and suicide rate in America is now nearly as high as the total loss of American life during the entire Vietnam War. Every day, 14 American children under age 20 are killed and many more are wounded by guns. By the age of 18, young people will have viewed an estimated 200,000 acts of violence on TV. Furthermore, the N.V.C. (National Victim Center) reports that 1,872 women are raped everyday in the U.S. alone.

 Sexual abuse, racism, to extreme terrorist attacks is just a few examples of violence we face today. The increase of violence is obvious. Crime, hate, and violence are on the up rise, while peace and safety seems almost uncertain.

AROUND 534 BC, a prophet named Daniel was told by God that in the time of the end, "many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased" (Daniel 12:4) This Hebrew phrase, --"many shall run" literally means "speeding about,-- here and there," or as The Living Bible renders it, "travel shall be greatly increased."

Consider this: The form of transportation had not changed substantially for thousands of years. Now, Today we not only have automobiles that can move at high speeds and over great distances, but we also have jets that can fly around the world in 24 hours, and a spacecrafts that can circles the planet in 80 minutes!

Also, there are, "many" who are traveling. The number of people traveling today is unprecedented. In fact, Economic experts tell us that travel and tourism is now "the biggest and the most energetic industry in the world."

In recent years knowledge has increased beyond  imagination! In fact, the term "information overload" was labeled  for our generation.

 Over 90 percent of all scientist that have ever lived are alive today, and every  minute they add 2,000 pages to man’s scientific knowledge.  About half of all medical knowledge is now outdated every ten years. Plus, the equivalent of over 300 million pages of text is now  sent over the Internet every day..

He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:16-17)

Never, until now has there been technology to make such a mark used for buying and selling. Today this can now be done with an implanted microchip underneath the skin. Below is a Company that has grown the furthest in this kind of technology. We're not saying this is the mark, but simply showing how it's now possible.

Applied Digital Solutions (ADS) has designed what they call--VeriChip. It’s a small Identification microchip that gets implanted underneath the skin. Aside from its many abilities such as storing personal information and GPS tracking, it can also be used in the Financial Arena. According to ADS website "VeriChip's.. personal verification  ….would provide banking and credit card customers with protection…. accounts could not be accessed unless  they themselves initiated -- and were physically present.” I.e. instead of using credit cards/photo I.D.’s etc.

In 539-332 BC the Persians allowed the Jews to return, rebuild, and worship at the temple in Jerusalem. However, Israel was not a free nation and it would still be controlled by the powering nation over them. Because of this, many Jews did not return to Judea and so became colonist, no longer captives by the controlling nation at the time. Then, as predicted by Daniel(2:39,40; 7:5-7), Control over Israel passed from Persian Power to Greece, and then to Rome.

In all those years, the Jews were unable to return to Israel as a independent nation. They were always under the control of another empire.

The passages listed above are all prophecies stating that the Jews will return to their land and once again become a independent nation. In addition, the return of the Jews was also to be a sign that time was short.

On May 14, 1948 this prophecy became history. Israel was declared and recognized as a nation. This also started an Israeli-Arab war that ended in 1949. Since then, There has been an on going attempt to over take Israel, but with no success..

This passage is better known as the Abomination of Desolation. This is a time when the AntiChrist will sit down in the Temple of God and claim to be God. This and other passages imply that another sign to us would be the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple (Solomon's Temple). Jesus says in Mark 13:14 "So when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' .. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains"
