Age: 18

Personality: Kusa is usually very mellow. He does things at his own pace. He’s happy spending long hours sleeping in the sun or gardening, or soaking in a spring, or listening to the many flowers that speak to him of the happenings of the village. Kusa is both goal oriented and easy to distract. He typically picks some task and follows it through, unless something takes his attention. He might set off on a walk and end up staring at the reflection of the sun in a river, or go out intending to buy chocolate and come home with a pet for Jiro. Although usually clever, Kusa can drift into surreal dimensions with his plans and their execution. A close relationship with death has eliminated much of normal human fear from Kusa, and he can sometimes be rash because of it. Kusa is very different depending on who he’s with. When he’s with Jiro he’s animated and affectionate, his humor is droll when he’s pushing his lover around and he’s tender when Jiro is down. Around the other villains Kusa is generally detached and quiet. When masquerading as Yasashiro Shiro, he’s sweet and slightly shy.

Style: Kusa dresses like a flower. He usually wears a green leaf pattern poncho with his bright red head of hair poking out the top. Under his poncho he wears ninja fishnets. He often goes barefoot. If asked why he will reply with something about ‘connection to the earth’

Family: Kusa has no family. He was engineered as a weapon, grown from a plant and feeding on corpses. The closest thing to family that he has is Jiro and their undead pets, and his plants.

Abilities: Kusa has a wide range of plant related abilities. He traps opponents in genjutsu of endless deep forests, binds them with vines, and poisons them. He is a master of infiltration, and has been living among the Leaf ninja as one of them for months. He can change the color of his hair and skin and eyes chemically, and alter his smell accordingly. He can produce a strong pheromone that has been dubbed KusaGas by the community. The Gas has three effects. The first effect is to relax people. The second is to make them favorably inclined to Kusa. The third is to excite their affections. Kusa is always producing this almost scentless gas- only an Inuzuka can detect it, and it smells of nothing more than flowers. Kusa is also more or less immortal. When he dies his spirit inhabits one of the bodies stored in Gossuka’s base. Depending on the body, his physical abilities may increase or decrease.

Love Interests and/or friends: Kusa’s one true love is Jiro, who he lives with beneath a flower shop with their pets and their plants and their plans, and tea. Kusa disguised as Shiro has befriended Shangoh. Whether or not that friendship will be put to nefarious uses remains to be seen.

Rivalry: Kusa has no rivals. Everyone who comes near him desires him, or someone else in the local vicinity. Kin beat up Jiro once, but Kusa hasn’t sworn eternal vengeance in his heart.

Random Tidbits:
-Kusa’s main body is a huge plant in the villain’s base. His moving, speaking, fighting, loving body is kind of like a spore. Inside of the main body is a closed flower, inside of that is Kusa’s True Body, the original form he was born with. He only ever is aware inside his True Body during the time of transition from his dead body to a new seeded corpse.
-Kusa enjoys tying Jiro up with vines and doing unspeakable things to him.
-Kusa and Jiro had a month long expedition to find a certain coffee shop in Konoha. When they found it, it turned out to be not all that great anyway.
-Kusa once caused Jiro’s new undead cat to be squished to death(?) again. He was crushed with guilt for a whole day.
-Kusa and Jiro are working on a theme song and battle cry to terrify their opponents. -Kusa gave Obito flowers when Rena’s mother died.
-Kusa and Hakusen chased each other around in the wilderness for a month. They never found each other.
-Kusa finds Shinme scary and interesting and doesn’t know why.
-Kusa would like to be free of Gossuka and tend his plants and Jiro in peace.
