TROPICAL STORM DEVASTATES HANDS AND FEET PROJECT

Audio A The Hands and Feet Project, an organization started by the Audio Adrenaline guys to rescue and take care of orphans in Haiti was hit by Tropical Storm Noel Monday night. Please consider donating to this wonderful ministry in support for fixing the damage caused by the storm. Former Audio A frontman Mark Stuart reports on the devastation...

"Our hearts and prayers go out to all of Haiti and the Dominican Republic today. Tropical Storm Noel hit hard throughout the night and still lingers today. Reports from our missionaries at the Hands and Feet Project tell us the damage is devastating. Our beautiful property was turned into a 30 foot wide river, knocking down almost all of our trees and leaving piles of mountain rocks and debris everywhere. The gate leading into our property was ripped off, and a 15 foot section of concrete wall was smashed down. The children were moved from the smaller houses to the main compound and are safe. Our walls are made of concrete block... almost all the "houses" surrounding our village are nothing more than mud, pieces of wood and sheets of metal.

Many of our neighbors not only sustained damage to their homes, but lost livestock and their food supply. We are currently handing out beans and rice to anyone in need. We will be fine at the Hands and Feet Project with getting repairs done, but our biggest concern is taking care of our community. Please consider making a special donation to the Hands and Feet Project during this time of need. Not only will your donation help repair our children's village, but it will also help us meet the needs of our battered neighbors.
All mail-in contributions can be sent to:

HANDS AND FEET PROJECT
1104 West Main
Franklin, TN 37064

As always, please keep us, our children, and all the people of Haiti and the DR in your prayers!

Thank you.
Mark, Audio Adrenaline"

AMERICAN IDOL--S MANDISA WILL RING IN THE HOLIDAY SEASON WITH CHRISTMAS EP

MANDISA CONTINUES TO TRAVEL THE COUNTRY WITH HOLIDAY APPEARANCES, INCLUDING PERFORMANCE AT THE NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING

Mandisa( NASHVILLE, TN) ...After a highly successful label debut with True Beauty, American Idol's own MANDISA will be celebrating the season with her Christmas EP featuring four tracks available digitally today and in stores nationwide November 20th just in time for the holidays. Christmas Joy EP will feature classics Joy to the World and O Holy Night as well as the Stevie Wonder favorite What Christmas Means to Me and the newly written Christmas Makes Me Cry duet with labelmate Matthew West, which will be serviced to radio as a holiday single. In addition to the Christmas Joy EP, Mandisa is a part of the WOW Gospel Christmas CD with her song God Speaking that is also her second single from her label debut True Beauty.

"It seems to me that even the hardest hearts soften during the Christmas season, expresses Mandisa about recording a Christmas album. There is a prevalent joy that draws people together and Christmas music is the soundtrack to that season. Reflecting on God's unconditional love for us is what Christmas means to me.

This American sweetheart will also be spreading the holiday cheer with her performance for the New York Stock Exchange Christmas Tree lighting, which will take place in New York on December 10th. The NYSE is the second largest Christmas tree lighting in the country, the first being the White House. Over the month of December, fans will be able to catch Mandisa performing live as well as on two televised specials. Mandisa will appear on the Gospel Music Channel where she most recently taped a Christmas concert special along with Idol alum, George Huff. On Christmas Eve, Mandisa will perform live at the Crystal Cathedral, which will be televised worldwide. Mandisa will also perform six tour dates with Huff while in California in addition to dates with Natalie Grant. (see www.mandisaofficial.com for tour dates/cities).

Just over a year ago Mandisa shot to instant fame when millions of TV viewers across the nation were captivated by her winning smile and powerhouse vocals as she sang her way into the final rounds of American Idol's fifth season. Showcasing Mandisa's stylistic range was the task set before the five sets of producers who lined up to work with her on her debut, True Beauty. The end result is a seamless flow of tracks that create a diverse landscape for messages of hope, inspiration and faith. Only the World is the album's funky, energetic first single, and has spent five consecutive weeks on Billboard's Top Single Sales chart.

Following the no. 1 Single on Billboard's Hot Single Sales chart, appearances on The Today Show, Live! With Regis & Kelly, The Tom Joyner Show, countless radio and retail visits, vocal powerhouse Mandisa's debut CD, True Beauty, entered at No. 1 on Soundscan's Christian/Gospel and itunes Christian/Gospel charts. The American Idol alum's chart entry marked the first debut album by a female solo artist to open at No. 1 since this chart converted to Nielsen SoundScan back in 1995, as well as making Mandisa the only female solo artist to land at No. 1 on the Top Christian Albums chart with a debut album in the 27 years since Billboard began tracking Christian album sales in March 1980.

Mandisa's desire to live free of society's expectations sits at the heart of the messages interwoven throughout True Beauty. Issues of self-esteem and self-worth are front-and-center among those that most young women struggle with today, and Mandisa admits she is no different. More than just a career, I really want to have a ministry that has an impact on people. I just want to follow through with what is in my heart. I never want to look back and wonder, What would have happened if?

SARA GROVES CHOSEN BY iTUNES FOR COVETED DISCOVERY DOWNLOAD

(Sara Groves NASHVILLE, TN) Singer/Songwriter Sara Groves is the latest artist to have one of her songs chosen as a DISCOVERY DOWNLOAD with iTunes. Just days before her new album, TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW, hits the streets on November 6th, her single, When The Saints has been chosen to be a Discovery Download on the iTunes Store for the week before the project releases, starting October 30th, and will be listed under the Free downloads section on the iTunes homepage

On her new album, Tell Me What You Know, Groves explores what she has learned over the past two years, lessons on the value of long defeats, and the defiance of hope in the face of insurmountable odds. Since the 2005 release of her last project, Add to the Beauty, Groves has been questioning just how, exactly, she is called to do that. Sara explains, I believe God invites us to add to the beauty of his plan, letting us participate in his redemptive work. But I found myself asking, How have I applied this idea?' I had groomed and groomed and groomed my personal faith, but to what end?

Her answers came in a series of global conversations and experiences, from the flood-ravaged gulf of Louisiana, to the genocide memorials of Rwanda, to the testimonies of Southeast Asia sex trade survivors. These experiences showed the disparity between some of the American pursuits of comfort and wealth and the joy of joining the difficult work of social justice and engaging in the suffering of the afflicted. As Groves explains, such is the case with the song When The Saints:

"When the Saints was inspired by the work of The International Justice Mission. Their work made me think about the people I have admired in history and made their kind of action seem more accessible. I used to read about amazing heroes like Harriet Tubman who secured her own freedom from slavery and then helped rescue many others through the Underground Railroad. I have always wondered how I would have responded in different times in history. Would I have opened my home to the Underground Railroad or given Anne Frank refuge? We think those stories are removed from us, but right now there are millions of slaves, millions of people hiding from their oppressors. I realized not too long ago, that I have not been the Good Samaritian. I have been the other guys, who walk on the far side of the road. It is my heart's desire to change that, and When the Saints is a celebration of people who were placed by God for certain times and events, and a prayer that I will have the strength to show up for my time. "

SHOWBREAD ANNOUNCES DOUBLE ALBUM RELEASE WITH ANOREXIA NERVOSA

Showbread Rockers Showbread have not only announced a new album to be released in the Spring, but have announced TWO new albums released on the very same day. Below are some details from the band about the project dubbed Anorexia Nervosa...

"We have finished recording our new record; it is now going to be mixed by Ulrich wild. As we've said many times over, Showbread prefers recreating the band's musical tone with every album, this album is no exception The first thing that makes this record special is the fact that it is TWO records. When the release date finally comes in the spring, Showbread will be releasing TWO new albums on the same day, each with twelve completely different songs. One album is called Anorexia and the other is called Nervosa. The second special thing about these records is that they are soundtracks to a story called Anorexia Nervosa which is split into two, ten chapter segments, one segment comes included with one record and the second comes with the other. As you read the story, the album acts as a musical accompaniment to the text. Musically, the sound is some of the most lush, organic as well as some of the most harsh, synthetic material we've ever done. It's sweeping and ominous, then jagged and screeching. In addition to the two albums that will be released in stores, a limited printing of a special edition package will be made available for everyone who wants the most in depth experience of "Anorexia Nervosa" possible. We're excited to bring you more updates about both albums in the coming months. Thank you and may raw rock kill you forever and ever amen."

THE CROSS MOVEMENT RECEIVES 2008 STELLAR AWARD NOMINATION
Group Nominated for "Rap/Hip-Hop Gospel CD of the Year" for Latest Album HIStory
  Cross Movement
Nashville, TN - Cross Movement Records is pleased to announce that GRAMMY and Dove Award-nominated hip-hop group The Cross Movement has been nominated for a 2008 Stellar Award in the category of "Rap/Hip-Hop Gospel CD of the Year" for their latest project, HIStory: Our Place In His Story. The 23rd Annual Stellar Awards will take place January 12, 2008 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn., and is the largest gospel music awards show in America, bringing together some of the most noted singers and celebrities in the world.

On HIStory, The Cross Movement (consisting of members The Tonic, Phanatik, T.R.U.-L.I.F.E. and The Ambassador), take their cue from the writer of Hebrews, who tells in chapter 11 about a host of people who faithfully played their role in the story being told by God, and stands to answer the call of the 12th chapter of Hebrews which says, "having such a great cloud of witnesses that have gone before us, let us run the race that is set before us." Sonically, the album brings the hip-hop collective's artistic sound full-circle and takes listeners back to the vibe of the earliest Cross Movement projects. The Cross Movement recently wrapped up a successful national tour promoting the project.

One of the most recognized names in Christian hip-hop, The Cross Movement, based in Philadelphia, Pa., is comprised of four solo artists who share a common interest in communicating the Gospel message through hip-hop music. The group has been featured in national media including Time Magazine, The Washington Post and The Source Magazine. FEED Magazine, the premier Christian hip-hop magazine, offered four different covers featuring The Cross Movement on its January 2003 issue.

INTEGRITY COOKS UP WORSHIPKITCHEN
Integrity Media, Inc. Launches Digital Download Service Designed By Worship Leaders
(MOBILE, Ala.) Integrity Media is set to launch WorshipKitchen.com, a revolutionary new platform for the sale and digital download of worship music and other church resources from a growing array of leading publishers. WorshipKitchen's key ingredients include an extensive database of worship resources such as chord charts, lyric sheets, vocal tracks, transposable sheet music, choir arrangements and video files, all supported by a powerful library that makes it easy to store, organize and share resources.

Designed for worship leaders and teams, WorshipKitchen combines built-in support for portable MP3 players, CD burning, and play lists with an intuitive search engine, making it easy to assemble worship resources. Users may search for resources by key, theme, tempo, scripture; download them into WorshipKitchen's proprietary media player and then organize and share them with the worship team.

WorshipKitchen.com mixes many of the features people have come to expect from leading download platforms with a system designed exclusively for the needs of worship leaders, says Philip Manwaring, Integrity's Chief Technology Officer.

By offering all types of worship materials through a single, integrated solution, we can help worship leaders save the time and hassle associated with having to visit multiple sites and deal with multiple media formats just to get the resources they need. With WorshipKitchen, users will never again have to worry about what type of files they're downloading and whether or not their team will be able to use them, he adds.

More than just a website, WorshipKitchen is built around a media player and resource library interface that's accessible any time off-line. With the free WorshipKitchen download, worship leaders can download albums, split tracks, lyric files, chord charts, transposable sheet music, orchestrations, and videos. Transposable music files can also be customized to meet a worship team's specific needs, including options to display chords only with or without guitar fret diagrams. Transfer to compatible MP3 players or burning to a CD is as easy as dragging the songs from the library onto the appropriate menu item.

What's brilliant about WorshipKitchen is that the ease and compatibility of media platforms most of us use every day has been duplicated and personalized to the unique needs of worship leaders and music ministers, says Integrity Artist and Worship Leader Lincoln Brewster. WorshipKitchen is an organizational and communication lifesaver. I know this because when WorshipKitchen was developed, they went directly to worship leaders to find out what they needed and wanted.

At my church, we realized that we had a great need to accomplish more towards planning worship with less work and less time, continues Brewster. The ministry manger function available through WorshipKitchen enabled us to do just that! It has been an indispensable tool for us for the last couple of years as I've used it, while speaking into the development and functionality to best suit the needs of planning worship well.

WorshipKitchen is free to download and does not require any monthly subscription fees. Worship leaders can select between paying for downloads as needed or taking out paid memberships with various levels of benefits starting at $14.99 a month and offering access to many downloads each month. During the site--s initial launch, visitors are offered a 15-day free trial with 11 free downloads - - five single track audio files, five transposable PVG/SATB sheet music files and one iWORSHIP video.

"Hi all, It's been a crazy week, so hard to be away from the ones you love in a crisis like this. A big chunk of of my hometown of San Diego burned down this week. A strange birthday present indeed. Thank you for all of your support and prayers.

In a week filled with such dark news from home, I have found a few really bright spots.

    A. Being out on a tour that gives a buck a ticket to Habitat for Humanity, (an organization that builds homes for people who need them) has never felt more appropriate. Please get involved: http://www.habitat.org/cd/local/

    B. Playing a song called "Rebuild" that Matt Thiessen and I wrote for Habitat a few hours before his bus burned down has never felt more appropriate.

    C. Seeing my hometown really come together and help each other has been great. I'm sure everyone has a certain amount of pride in their hometown, to see my hometown neighbors helping each other out in an awful situation means so much to me.

So, thanks for taking care of my family and my hometown while I'm gone." - Jon

Foreman celebrated his 31st birthday on Monday the 22nd. Below is a photo from Switchfoot.com...

JARS OF CLAY LEAD SINGER--S BESTSELLING CHILDREN--S BOOK VOTED TOP PICK BY AMERICAN BOOKSELLERS ASSOCIATION

Dan Haseltine (TRAVERSE CITY, MI) Dan Haseltine's bestselling children's book, The One, The Only Magnificent Me was just declared a BOOK SENSE 2007-2008 Winter Children's Pick Selection, as voted on by over 2,200 independent bookstores across the country.

The book has received wide acclaim, not only from bookstores, parents, and kids, but from newspapers around the country:

The Nashville singer/songwriter took his first foray into those masters world (Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein), releasing a work of children's literature called The One, The Only Magnificent Me, which mixes the dream-like, fanciful aesthetic of Shel Silverstein's work with the approachable, lyrical rhyme schemes (and similarly fanciful ideas) in Dr. Seuss. The Tennessean
Haseltine, who just returned from a mission trip to Africa, was very gratified that so many stores around the country thought so much of his book, and then passed the credit to his two sons Noah, age 6, and Max, age 4. I tell them many stories at bedtime. They don't always like them, but this one they loved. It seemed that they intuitively understood the importance of the message and the fun of the story, he explained.

The One, The Only Magnificent Me debuted as the No. 1 children's book on the Christian book wholesaler Spring Arbor's Bestseller List, and was No. 2 for illustrated children's books on the Top 100 Bestseller List at Ingram Book Group. The book features illustrations by Haseltine--s longtime friend and award-winning artist Joel Schoon Tanis.

Haseltine wrote the book to help build self-esteem in children, and hopes the book will help kids realize that they are special just for being alive. I hope that kids can have a handle on the fact that they are special magnificent simply because they are, not because they run fast, or ride bikes, or have the coolest toys, he said.

He continued, Joel and I simply love art, music, literature, and a good story, and to see our book naturally and freely connect with so many people is rewarding. I spoke with the publisher yesterday who told me a store called them and said, It is a book they all love and recommend and cited one customer, who after being told about it, got out of line, went back and carefully read through it, and picked up five copies one for her family, and four others. It's pretty neat.

Haseltine also had another wonderful story to share.

Noah and Max did not know I had contacted a publisher and that the book was coming out, so when I received my first copy, I surprised them with it at bedtime. To paraphrase a newspaper that captured that moment, It might not have been thousands of people clapping at a Jars of Clay concert, but those two little pairs of hands clapping meant more than anything.

The One, The Only Magnificent Me is available at all Target stores nationwide, as well as Borders, Barnes & Noble, and Christian and independent bookstores around the country. Please visit www.themagnificentme.com for further details.

EVIN MAX AND JOANNE CASH TO PERFORM AT JOHNNY CASH FLOWER PICKIN' FESTIVAL

Kevin Max (NASHVILLE, TENN.) -- This November, Starkville, Mississippi will hold its first annual Johnny Cash Flower Pickin Festival, featuring a symbolic posthumous pardon to Cash, and a line-up of musicians closely associated with the late singer and American icon. The event will be held November 2-4, 2007, and will feature performances by Joanne Cash and Kevin Max, as well as Marty Stuart & the Fabulous Superlatives and others.

Johnny Cash fans from around the world are expected to participate in a fascinating part of the Cash story his experience at the "Starkville City Jail" and his lifelong story of redemption. Johnny Cash was arrested in Starkville, Mississippi, on May 11, 1965, for public drunkeness following a performance at Mississippi State University. He wrote the song, Starkville City Jail, and performed it at his legendary San Quentin State Prison concert on Feb. 24, 1969. Cash played at MSU again in 1970 and gave many of the officers involved with his arrest front row tickets to the performance.

The Starkville community decided that it's time to formally recognize the depth and humanity of the Man in Black. As a result, the city of Starkville will issue a posthumous pardon to Cash. Kathy Cash Tittle, the second oldest of the four Cash daughters, will accept the pardon on her father's behalf during the pardoning ceremony on November 3rd. The pardon doesn't suggest that anyone condoned Cash's behavior. It symbolically recognizes Cash as an imperfect human who made mistakes but gained insight and wisdom by learning from his indiscretions. It's not about Johnny Cash getting arrested; it's about what his life symbolized to so many people that no matter what happens in life, you can redeem yourself.

The festival will close with a Redemption Service on Sunday, November 4th at 10:00am, featuring performances by Kevin Max and Johnny Cash's sister, Joanne Cash, singing gospel music that Johnny Cash enjoyed. The service will be held at Lee Hall Auditorium on the MSU campus, and is free to the public.

ANDREW PETERSON AND FRIENDS LAUNCH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TOUR WHICH FEATURES PETERSON--S MUSICAL BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD: THE TRUE TALL TALE OF THE COMING OF CHRIST
SARA GROVES, BEBO NORMAN, JILL PHILLIPS, ANDY GULLAHORN, ANDREW OSENGA, GARETT BUELL AND OTHERS TO JOIN PETERSON FOR TOUR

Andrew Peterson (NASHVILLE, TN) Prolific singer/songwriter Andrew Peterson is set to take his popular Christmas concert on the road with friends and special guests Sara Groves, Bebo Norman, Jill Phillips, Andy Gullahorn, Andrew Osenga, Garett Buell, Cason Cooley, Marcus Myers, Gabe Scott and Ben Shive for his annual Christmas tour, which features Peterson--s acclaimed Christmas musical Behold The Lamb Of God: The True Tall Tale of the Coming of Christ. The tour begins November 27th in Elkhorn, NE, which will mark the 8th year that Peterson and friends have taken their Christmas concert on the road.

Eight years ago, Peterson composed his musical rendition of the Christmas story to remind people of the holiday's true significance. Since then, he and a small band have performed the songs each holiday season to sold-out crowds nationwide, as well as a highlighted performance in Peterson's hometown of Nashville, TN at the famed Ryman Auditorium. Past events have featured such artists as Alison Krauss, Phil Keaggy, Mindy Smith, Pierce Pettis, Matt Slocum and members of Nickel Creek, who have joined Peterson for an in-the-round segment of original material before gathering on stage to perform his musical, Behold the Lamb of God: The True Tall Tale of the Coming of Christ.

Responding to demand from fans of his Christmas concert, in 2004, Peterson recorded the songs on an album titled Behold the Lamb of God.

It's a pretty different approach to an album, Peterson explains. I don't know of any Christian albums like it in that it's a concept album with a story-telling style. My foremost concern was with accurately conveying the story of Christ's birth, and doing it as artfully as possible.

Peterson has long been known for his intricate songwriting and transparent candor on stage, often drawing comparisons to predecessor Rich Mullins. While signed to Watershed/Essential Records from 1999 to early 2004, Peterson recorded three national releases including his award-winning Carried Along, which featured the top ten radio single, Nothing to Say. His latest project, The Far Country released in August of 2005. Peterson is also set to release his new album Resurrection Letters in the spring of 2008.

PETRA FRONTMAN JOHN SCHLITT TO RELEASE THIRD SOLO ALBUM IN JANUARY

John Schlitt John Schlitt, multiple Grammy Award-winning recording artist, announces his signing with the Franklin, Tennessee based Fused Management. Schlitt will release his third solo album, The Grafting, in January through TAG Artist Group - his first solo effort in more than ten years.

Best known as the voice behind the four time Grammy Award and ten time Dove Award-winning group PETRA, Schlitt continues with a solo career following the band's retirement in 2005. In his role as PETRA's lead singer, Schlitt wrote the 1 hit Just Reach Out and earned RIAA-certified GOLD status for the albums Petra Praise: The Rock Cries Out and Beyond Belief. Schlitt also earned a third Gold album (Flat as a Pancake) as the front man for the 70s classic rock band Head East. With PETRA, Schlitt has been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and was the first Christian group to be celebrated by Hard Rock Cafe.

During his tenure with PETRA, Schlitt released his first solo album, Shake, in 1995 that included the radio hits Show Me the Way, Inside of You, and a second album in 1996, Unfit for Swine, which featured Can't Get Away.*

Ricky B. Rogers, vice-president and co-founder of Fused Management, is looking forward to working with Schlitt on this new chapter in his career. I am excited and thrilled to have John on board with Fused. I see a new energy being breathed into John's career with our partnership, because we're in this as a team. Our goal as a company is to help create new careers, infusing life and energy into an artist who has been there and back. John is one of those artists. His track record and longevity in the Christian music scene is something you just can not ignore.

I believe in talent - and John is loaded with it," adds Rogers. "He is a man with many amazing gifts and he has an incredible record that's just waiting to be heard. It's very different from what he has done in the past, which just goes to show John's versatility. Great music rises above genre and John is one those who can prove it."

I'm very excited to be working with Fused Management, says Schlitt. My career is going in a whole new direction with new management and a new album. The music itself is going down a whole new path; the fact that my interests have changed as I have grown older is reflected in The Grafting.

The subject matter on this project is just as important as the music, explains Schlitt. The songs cover a variety of adult-themed topics including adoption, divorce, taking care of third world children, among other issues of importance in today's world.

The Grafting has a unique family connection which contributed to the creative and emotional evolution of the project.

My son-in-law, Dan Needham, produced the album, adds Schlitt. So, ultimately I felt a lot more comfortable going places subject-wise that were really personal to me. There were actually some moments during the process of recording when we all got choked up and had to stop. That was a new experience for me.

For more information and a preview of The Grafting, complete with commentary by Schlitt, visit the official website at www.JohnWSchlitt.com.

Fused Management was created in 2003 by Jim Detwiler and Ricky B. Rogers, and is a sister organization to Ray Ware Management. Fused Management--s roster includes Bloodgood, Heather Powers, Darrell Mansfield and Michael Sweet and the Sweet Family.

ATE HUSS SPEAKS OUT FOR NATIONAL ADOPTION AWARENESS MONTH IN NOVEMBER
Young Music Artist Is Living Proof of the Impact of Christian Adoption

Nate Huss Nate Huss was only three weeks old when he was placed in the arms of his loving adopted family the Huss Family of Phoenix who had seven other adopted children from around the globe.

Today, at 22, and one of the most promising new artists in contemporary Christian music, with his debut album Here With Me (Slanted Records) Nate is speaking out as a voice of support for November's National Adoption Awareness Month.

I'm thankful to God and to a biological mother that I never knew who chose the option of life for me, he noted in a recent interview. I am a planned mistake, a blessed gift. Growing up with wonderful adopted parents and seven amazing brothers and sisters of different nationalities I have grown up to appreciate life and its fullness.

Nate will be back home in Phoenix on November 9th to perform for the 25th anniversary of the Christian Family Care Agency the locally based agency that handled his own personal adoption in 1985. More than 800 guests and media are expected to be on hand for his performance and to hear his personal passion for the music and ministry course his life has taken.

He will be performing one of the tracks from his debut album the song "Your Own" that Nate and his older brother Dan wrote for their own individual birth mothers. It's a song thanking them for their love and strength to be willing to give us up and let us go, says Nate. They trusted we would have better lives and gave us a second chance at life.

Because of his own personal life journey, Nate has also chosen to be a voice of support within the music industry for the now global work of Mercy Ministries, a unique ministry that offers aid to young women struggling with unplanned pregnancies, as well as a broad range of destructive life patterns, from eating disorders to self-harm and addictions. A portion of the sale of his Here With Me album is channeled to the work of Mercy.

Nate is hoping November will be a month of special awareness to the value of Christian adoption. I say thank you to all mothers and fathers to those that are willing to choose life and give us up to adoption, and to those that are willing to take us in." He adds: "I am here because my mother chose life God gave me a second chance and I am proud to say I am adopted!

    SKILLET TO RERELEASE "COMATOSE"

Atlantic/INO Records rock band Skillet is revisiting their 2006 record Comatose this fall in the form of a Deluxe Edition. To be included on the re-release will be a brand new track that was originally intended for Comatose but wasn't finished in time, five acoustic tracks (only two have been heard previously), new album artwork and some behind-the-scenes video content. A representative of the band recently wrote...

"As far as the title of the new track it is "Live Free or Let Me Die." It might be shortened to "Live Free." It was written while John and I were in NY at Atlantic records. The London bombings happened while we were there and John came up with a song idea that he sang to his A&R rep Andy in his office. By the end of the day Andy had a studio and engineer booked and we were recording the song within a week. Unfortunately it was too late to get it on the record by the time it got mastered."

The tenative digital only release date is 11/20 which will be through iTunes and Walmart.com. The release date for the in store version will be 12/26. Mark your calendars!

KOSMOS RECORDS/KOCH BAND THE MYRIAD SELECTED AS TOP FINALIST IN THE "MTV2 DEW CIRCUIT BREAKOUT"
BAND RELEASES SIX-SONG EP AND EMBARKS ON NATIONWIDE TOUR WITH THE DAVID CROWDER BAND

MTV2 has announced Kosmos Records/KOCH's Seattle based band The Myriad as a top contender for the title of MTV2 Dew Circuit Breakout. During the month of September the network asked bands across the country to sign up for a shot at an MTV2 presence. MTV2's expert music and talent panel hand-selected The Myriad out of over 4000 bands in the US to be 1 of the 12 finalists.

Drawing rave reviews from both fans and critics worldwide, The Myriad's music covers a diverse panorama, evoking comparisons to The Verve, Radiohead and The Who. In their quick emergence, the band has already performed with Blindside, Mute Math and The Beautiful Mistake. The Myriad's first full length record, "You Can't Trust a Ladder" was featured as a Staff Favorite on iTunes (alongside the White Stripes and the Foo Fighters) and MTV has used some songs off the record for the Real World Denver show.

With three eliminations leading up to the Live Finale, where 2007's victor will be crowned, MTV2 has opened the online voting polls where the public will determine the winner. Myriad fans can vote as many times as they want throughout the competition from now until November 20 at http://dewcircuitbreakout.mtv2.com/artist/default.aspx?artist=200

The Top 6 Finalists get a visit from MTV crews in their hometown and filmed in action for segments on air! The Top 3 Finalists that make the cut will be flown to New York City to perform during the Dew Circuit Breakout Finale, LIVE from Times Square, where the grad prize winner will be announced. The winning band will be thrown back on stage to star in their very first MTV music video for rotation on-air with exposure on MTV and MTV2, including being strongly considered for MTV's Artist Of The Week. In addition, they'll grab some air time on Discover & Download and Unleashed, where the latest, most anticipated, most cutting-edge work from the biggest players in rock and hip hop premiere on MTV2. Past winners of the competition include: Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, Hellogoodbye, Halifax and Thursday.

Backed by a new label and armed with a hotly-anticipated new record, 2008 promises to be a landmark year for The Myriad. In addition to their recent MTV success, the band released a special limited edition EP on October 9, 2007. The six-song EP on Kosmos Records/KOCH bridges the gap between the bands 2005's critically acclaimed You Can't Trust a Ladder and next year's highly-anticipated With Arrows, With Poise.

The Myriad's highly-anticipated 2008 project, With Arrows, With Poise, was recently mixed at Hansa Studios in Berlin, Germany by Michael Ilbert (The Cardigans, Kent, The Hives) and mastered at historic Abbey Road Studios in London, England by Adam Nunn (Air, Radiohead, Franz Ferdinand, George Martin, Mogwai). Kosmos Records, a division of KOCH Entertainment--the largest independent distributor of music in the world will release With Arrows, With Poise on March 4, 2008.

Currently on a sold-out national tour with The David Crowder Band, The Myriad is made up of Jeremy Edwardson, John Roger Schofield, Steven Tracy, Jonathan Young and Randy Miller

PHIL KEAGGY UNLEASHES THE SONG WITHIN ON NOVEMBER 6TH
Legendary Guitarist Makes Autumn Records Debut with New Instrumental Project

Phil Keaggy Legendary guitarist and singer/songwriter Phil Keaggy makes his Autumn Records debut with the upcoming release of his new instrumental project, The Song Within, on November 6, 2007.

When it comes to expressing The Song Within, few musicians of any genre, age or instrument have been as true to themselves and their art as Phil Keaggy. Throughout an incredibly prolific career that has spanned more than 30 years and produced more than 50 albums, that truth and honesty have permeated his work and ultimately given new meaning to the word "beauty."

On The Song Within, Keaggy uses his command of his art to communicate rather than dazzle. The result is a project that is imminently accessible and radiantly brilliant. "I've done plenty of projects that were perhaps a bit self-indulgent," Keaggy confesses. "For The Song Within, I wanted to create music that would please people. I wanted to stay true to myself, yet create a collection of songs that was for others."

Armed with that desire, Keaggy consciously created songs with his considerable fan base in mind. Newer initiates will be amazed with the deft, apparently effortless, artistry of this 16-song collection, while older fans will be thrilled by the myriad of styles and influences that combine to make Keaggy's work impossible to categorize and equally impossible to mistake.

At once contemporary yet timeless, The Song Within is an acoustic amalgam of both cheerful and contemplative moods--a sound that can only be described as Keaggy-esque. From the fresh, lively reminiscences of the opener, "Water Day," to the beckoning waltz of a sweet McPherson acoustic guitar on the benediction, "A Sense of Time," Keaggy coaxes, teases and cajoles listeners out of their complacency, daring them to live this paradox of faith. He also teams up with longtime friend, fingerstyle guitar master Muriel Anderson, on the song "New Year's Eve." The two maestros play off each other's licks--improvising, embellishing and complementing each other with the final result being a joyful celebration of the moment.

While Keaggy owns a number of fine guitars, both electric and acoustic, he notes that he recorded The Song Within exclusively with a McPherson acoustic. "The McPherson is a wonderful instrument, a wonderful recording guitar," Keaggy declares. "It is very much loved by engineers who record acoustic guitars because its sound is very true. It sounds just like a guitar should sound."

A true musical legend, Phil Keaggy has the propitious gift of investing his art with grace, truth and beauty. Because his music is a true reflection of himself at this very moment, The Song Within has that same ability to refresh and encourage those who hear it.

Phil Keaggy's The Song Within will be available from Autumn Records/Christian Network International. The Autumn Records roster includes Matt and Sherry McPherson, Kelly Willard and Erin Schneider, as well as guitarists Dave Cleveland, Mark Baldwin, Tom Hemby and Bruce Gaitsch. LONGTIME RELIENT K DRUMMER ANNOUNCES DEPARTURE

    Relient K

After seven years of touring, recording, and rehearsing, Dave Douglas has decided to leave Relient K. His final show will be 12/29. As a part of Relient K, he has been an amazing drummer, singer, collaborator, and friend. Before Dave joined the band, we were plagued with drummer turnover. Although he was the fifth drummer in two years, the moment he joined was the first time we ever felt like a complete band. He will be missed on the stage and on the road, and we wish him all the best. - RK

"I know that there have been some rumors and speculation about my future in Relient K. I suppose I should clear that up. The time has, in fact, come for me to leave the band. This has been a very difficult decision, but I know that this is the right one. Relient K has been a huge part of my life and I'm sure that it is going to take a long time to get used to not being a part of the band any more. I've had a lot of good times, met a lot of great people, and been able to go a lot of places. it's been a blessing and a pleasure to work with Matt, Matt, John, and Jon. Also, I want to thank everyone else who has been involved with the band, especially those who have been on the road with us. Our fans are amazing and I want to thank all of you for your support and enthusiasm.

I am moving on to new music projects, and I hope that I will still have all of your support. Come the first of the year I will be devoting most of my time to Gypsy Parade . Feel free to look us up and say hi. Until then I will playing with Relient K, so I've got a few more shows left in me. I suppose that this is my "farewell tour." hopefully I, and the rest of Relient K, will see you at one of them. Thanks to all of you."

    -Dave Douglas

Multi-Album Deal Hits as He Receives Nomination for American Music Award Deluxe Edition of Portable Sounds Hitting October 23rd

toby NASHVILLE, TN.....10/18/07...With Portable Sounds firmly established as TobyMac--s best-selling solo project yet (following the Gold-selling Welcome to Diverse City and Momentum), ForeFront Records has announced they have signed a new recording deal with the award-winning and highly respected artist to a Multi-Album recording contract. The announcement comes as TobyMac and the label celebrate his first American Music Award nomination for Favorite Inspirational Artist. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre L.A on Nov 18th (http://www.ama.abc.com).

"Toby is a special artist and one who is in the prime of his career, the evidence of that is all around us with growing record sales, concert attendance and acknowledgement from the industry, remarks EMI CMG Label Group president Peter York. We are thrilled to be continuing our relationship with him and look forward to partnering with Toby on many more career highlights."

Portable Sounds was TobyMac's highest solo debut ever on the Billboard Top 200 chart (No. 10), and after hitting No. 1 on SoundScan Contemporary Christian Overall chart in its first week as well, the project is still solidly in the top 10 after 33 weeks of release. Along with this sales success, over 100 Christian radio stations played his smash hit singles I'm For You and Made to Love, and after 18 weeks on the charts, I'm For You is still reaching over 9.6 million people, continuing to prove that TobyMac is just now hitting his stride as a solo artist, and is not slowing down.

After countless sold out shows, TobyMac just embarked on his headline tour this fall with Barlow Girl and Thousand Foot Krutch, selling out in Columbus, OH and in Houston, where a month out, a second show has already been added to the 6500 tickets sold for the first show! TobyMac will follow this tour up with the 3rd Annual WinterWonderSlam, now a must-see show each December. In spring 2008 he will hit the road again to co-headline a tour with Jeremy Camp.

About renewing his deal with the Forefront and EMI CMG team, TobyMac stated, Having signed my first recording contract with Forefront, I have had the privilege to see and experience the leadership and vision of Bill Hearn, Peter York and the rest of the team at EMICMG. There was never any doubt of where I wanted to sign my new record deal. I am looking forward to partnering with them as we continue to strive for excellence.

In addition to extensive touring from September through December, Forefront will release the Portable Sounds Deluxe Edition nationwide on October 23rd. An exclusive bonus DVD will be on-packed to the Portable Sounds CD, and will feature all five Tobymac music videos (Boomin, Gone, Irene, Get This Party Started, and Extreme Days), bonus behind the scenes footage from the making of Boomin, band interviews, touring, etc.

Along with superior sales and massive radio airplay, TobyMac's songs have been used in numerous TV shows and films, including film trailer for Disney's Underdog, in Disney's The Game Plan, Transporter 2 and Veronica Mars, as well as multiple songs in Lucas Arts' next game offering Thrillville: Off the Rails and Nexon Games' Audition.

This fall, TobyMac's song Boomin is being heard by sports fans across the country as the music video is shown every Saturday for 12 weeks during "College Football Saturday" games on FOX SPORTS CABLE. Pre-game, the video will be shown mixed with various game footage of the current week's competing teams. In addition to support from FOX SPORTS, the NFL Network is using The Slam in their Put up Your Dukes, program, while Ignition will be used in ESPN NASCAR promos.

TobyMac released his solo debut (Momentum, 2001) followed by the critically acclaimed Welcome to Diverse City (2004), both of which received GRAMMY nominations, and most recently were awarded RIAA Gold Certification. As a solo artist, in addition to rave reviews and always ending up a favorite in magazine and internet Reader--s Choice polls each year, TobyMac has also won seven Dove Awards, and received nine GMA Music/Dove Award nominations.

About continuing to work with TobyMac, Eddie DeGarmo, president EMI CMG Publishing, commented, "I've worked with Toby many years now. He is among the very best I 've seen at building bridges to his audience. He is relevant in every way. We at EMI CMG Publishing are proud to represent and administer his songs."

Before his solo career began, TobyMac hit numerous career milestones with dc talk and their 2 million unit selling project Jesus Freak, including garnering one of the group's four GRAMMY Awards, entering higher on the Billboard Top 200 chart than any other Christian artist ever had (No. 16) in August 1995, selling over 97,000 units, and garnering a Dove Award for Song of the Year (Jesus Freak) - the first time a rock song had one in this category. Certified Gold within 30 days of release, the project sold over one million units before dc talk joined forces in the general market with Virgin Records, and in its first week of release charted on Billboard's Top 5 along with The Beatles, Garth Brooks, Bruce Springsteen and Vince Gill. General market radio success for JESUS FREAK was also stellar, including the top 15 charting of Just Between You and Me at Top 40/Pop radio. The JESUS FREAK tour was also one of if not the most successful tour by a Christian artist in the mid-90s as well, with shows selling out across the U.S. including Houston, Dallas, Columbus, Minneapolis, Boston and more.

FFH: "WORSHIP IN THE WAITING" ALBUM RELEASES OCTOBER 30TH
SIGNATURE BAND RELEASES FIRST PROJECT IN TWO YEAR MINISTRY JOURNEY

FFH FFH, long recognized as one of contemporary Christian music's most successful pop core/signature bands, releases their first ever worship album Worship In The Waiting, October 30th on the Kindred label imprint, distributed by Word Entertainment.

Long anticipated as a project close to the band's collective heart, the ultimate timing on this vertically directed project couldn't be any more perfect for where they find themselves in their depth of ministry journey.

A first single from the album, the title track Worship In the Waiting, is currently breaking at AC Christian radio.

FFH members Jeromy & Jennifer Deibler, Brian Smith, and Michael Boggs strike a cohesive theme of waiting on God as the core of an album that's filled with a message of hope and trust in God's sovereignty in the midst of the moments when heaven seems silent. Coming together from the vantage point of four distinct sets of life experiences and ministry passions, FFH succeeds in blending not only vocals but heartfelt unity of creativity and purpose in this, their first album project in two years.

As a sidebar, Jeromy and Jennifer have for the past several years been deeply committed to worship as leaders in their own church in Nashville. It is, in fact, a commitment that in 2006 ultimately led them into a six month ministry mission in South Africa in a worship mentoring exchange from which they returned earlier this year. Jeromy, a founding member of FFH along with Brian Smith, termed the ministry outreach profoundly life changing for Jennifer and our whole family. We understand the concept of worshiping God at a whole new depth and through entirely new spiritual eyes.

Just prior to leaving for the mission to Africa, Christian music industry executive Robert Beeson, now president of Advocate Entertainment, had initially made the approach to FFH with the idea of recording the worship album. We met with Robert and a worship album just felt right at this moment in time when over the past two years there's been such a worship and waiting of God emphasis in our lives, notes Jeromy.

Worship In The Waiting captures a surprisingly fresh wind of God in the crowded field of worship releases. The album was produced by Glen Rosenstein who has production credits with artists such as Michael Bolton, James Taylor, 40 Acres, and Caedmons Call.

In addition to being embraced by a loyal listener base, FFH brings a strong set list of both new and recognizable worship songs sure to bring brand support with radio and retail.

    FFH Track list includes:

    1. Beautiful One
    2. You Are God Alone
    3. In Christ Alone
    4. Be Unto Your Name
    5. I'm Free
    6. Worship In The Waiting
    7. Holding On
    8. One and Only
    9. Days Of Elijah
    10. God of the Promise

The new FFH project will have strong support from the Kindred label, distributed by Word Entertainment. In addition to special promotions at retail and radio, FFH will be the subject of a strategic web campaign, as well as direct contact marketing to churches and youth pastors set to include an ambitious promotional outreach through Interl--inc.

One of contemporary Christian Music's most consistently "ministry connective" bands with national audiences since their emergence in the '90's, FFH has collective catalogue album sales surpassing the million mark, seven 1 radio singles, and mutliple Dove Award nominations in their remarkable history as a group with a passion for authentically expressing God through their music.

    KEVIN MAX SIGNS WITH AGENCY
    FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS

Kevin MaxAgency for the Performing Arts (APA), Inc. has announced the signing of Kevin Max, one of Christian music's most recognizable voices. The deal includes representation in all areas of the entertainment industry, including television, motion pictures, concerts and tours, personal appearances and more. APA has offices in Beverly Hills, New York City and Nashville, where the talent agency recently announced the launch of their Christian Music Division. APA is the third major agency, along with William Morris and CAA, to offer a division dedicated solely to booking artists in the Christian music marketplace.

As one third of the group dc Talk, Max accrued album sales exceeding 8 million, as well as numerous Grammy and Dove Awards. In recent years, he has released several critically acclaimed solo projects, and he has continued to tour worldwide. On December 26th, Max returns with his latest recording, The Blood - a very personal project that allowed him to step back from his usual rock stylings in favor of a musical exploration of Gospel. This deliberate departure features high profile collaborations with an extraordinary cast, including Vince Gill, Amy Grant, American Idol finalist Chris Sligh, Erica Campbell (of Mary Mary), Joanne Cash and others, including the long-anticipated reunion of dcTalk (featuring Max, Michael Tait and TobyMac).

Mark Guynn, who oversees the Christian division for APA, states: When I listened to Kevin's upcoming album, The Blood, I realized that this is not just another album. It's a moment in time. We are ecstatic to represent Kevin Max, and firmly believe that this new album is a career record.

"I appreciate the vision and dedication of APA," says Max. "They are dedicated to the details and vision of the artist, and I am encouraged by Mark Guynn's ability to think outside the box."

Infinity Music Distribution will release The Blood through a unique partnership with Max's Blind Thief Publishing. An aggressive promotional campaign will include various retail promotions, national television appearances, a radio promo tour and heavy concert touring including a church tour currently being scheduled. The first radio single, "Run On for a Long Time" (featuring Chris Sligh), is going for adds at radio now.

Max is managed by TJ Rogers of Nashville-based Through the Looking Glass Entertainment.

  • GRAMMY Nominees DecembeRadio to Release Expanded Edition of Rock Album of the Year
Rock Band's Hit Featured on New CBS Series

DecembeRadio Slanted Records, a division of Spring Hill Music Group, Inc., has announced the release of an expanded edition of rock band DecembeRadio's GRAMMY-nominated debut, self-titled release. In addition to the original song listing, the new edition, which hits stores on November 13th, includes an all-new single, an acoustic video performance of their hit Drifter, a previously unreleased audio recording of Love Found Me (Love's Got a Hold), behind-the-scenes interview footage, a special fan sticker and new packaging. The original self-titled debut was awarded 2007 Rock Album of the Year at the 2007 GMA DOVE Awards.

The new single that is already turning industry heads is Find You Waiting, which has just been released to AC and CHR stations everywhere. The song, co-written by band members Josh Reedy, Brian Bunn, Eric Miker and Boone Daughdrill as well as producer Scotty Wilbanks, is a moving ballad that brings to mind the creativity behind the group's contagious hit Drifter, which was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2007 DOVE Awards.

Josh went in the studio and just sang it! exclaimed Wilbanks. We talked about what we were going for, and we gave him the mic and that was all she wrote. You can really hear what Josh is capable of vocally with this performance, and you can hear the passion in his interpretation of the lyrics. It's a very DecembeRadio kind of sound.

The new release comes on the heels of another landmark for DecembeRadio as their DOVE-nominated single Dangerous (nominated for Rock Recorded Song of the Year) was featured twice last week during the season debut of the new CBS drama series Cane, which aired on Tuesday, October 9th. Dangerous, inspired by the top-selling book Wild at Heart, was also featured last year on the Discovery Channel's Hazard Pay program.

DecembeRadio's song Can't Hide will be going for adds on October 26th at Christian rock stations nationwide.

Fans will enjoy the behind-the-scenes look into the band members lives as they discuss the band's beginnings, influences and highlights from the past year in addition to segments where each member reveals what the band is like off stage.

DecembeRadio: Expanded Edition, will be distributed by Word Distribution/WEA with digital distribution by EMI CMG Distribution. For further information, visit www.decemberadio.com.

LIONSGATE EXPANDS PRESENCE IN FAITH-BASED MARKET AS THE STUDIO INKS THREE-YEAR DEAL WITH INDELIBLE CREATIVE GROUP
Deal Expands Lionsgate's Leadership Role In Faith-Based Properties Including Lee Strobel, Thomas Kinkade,
Tyler Perry, Kirk Franklin, & More

Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF), the leading independent filmed entertainment studio, announced today a three year deal with Indelible Creative Group. The announcement comes on the heels of Lionsgate's release of Indelible's 3:16 -- Stories Of Hope, a program based on America's 1 inspirational author Max Lucado's new book, 3:16 The Numbers of Hope. Through the deal, Lionsgate acquires the North American mass market distribution rights to 3:16 as well as high profile faith-based franchises including Erwin McManus Crave and the popular children's series Miss PattyCake. The announcements were made by Lionsgate President and COO Steve Beeks and Indelible President and CEO Chris Thomason.

With the addition of Indelible to its roster, Lionsgate continues to expand its overall industry leadership in the faith-based category. Earlier this year, the company inked deals with leading Christian non-fiction author Lee Strobel and the world's leading Christian publisher Thomas Nelson. Through the deal with Thomas Nelson, the studio gained leverage in the CBA market for its existing library of product as well as upcoming inspirational theatrical titles such as Church Boy, based on the true story of inspirational gospel music icon Kirk Franklin, and a feature adaptation of Thomas Kinkade's painting The Christmas Cottage. In addition, Lionsgate established a stronghold in the African-American faith-based market through its hugely successful partnership with Tyler Perry that resulted in the popular feature films Diary Of A Mad Black Woman, Madea's Family Reunion, and Daddy's Little Girls.

Lionsgate is making a concerted effort to expand its leadership in the faith-based category and this relationship with Indelible is a very powerful statement to show our commitment, said Beeks. Max Lucado, Erwin McManus, and Miss PattyCake are three of the biggest names in the category and we fully expect them to have crossover success at mass market retail outlets.

Our goal at Indelible Creative Group is to deliver innovative products that are culturally and spiritually relevant, and Lionsgate is the perfect partner for us, Thomason said. Lionsgate has proven its leadership in marketing and distribution and is known for thinking outside the box from a content perspective. Their investment in the faith based audience proves their commitment to family values in entertainment.

Based on the bestselling new book from Max Lucado, 3:16 Stories of Hope features a compelling short film about Katherine, a woman who finds herself in a dance club far from home, remembering a more innocent time in her life dancing with her father. Katherine's story of rebellion and consequence leads to an inspiring account of forgiveness, grace and unconditional love. The DVD also shares 12 exclusive segments featuring Max Lucado that impart the timeless message of John 3:16, phrase by enduring phrase.

Crave was created by best-selling author and pastor of Mosaic in downtown Los Angeles, Erwin McManus. The new series of short films, from Mosaic's own Awaken Films, correspond to themes outlined in Erwin's latest best-selling book, Soul Cravings, which is published by Thomas Nelson. As founder of Awaken, McManus uses the visual storytelling medium of film to reveal the hidden mysteries that permeate the soul. Tapping some of Hollywood's brightest writers, directors and actors, these films tell stories that can be used in either a church or small group setting. Each film features an intro from McManus and a short message on the theme of the film.

Wearing her signature green smock with a red heart and two hands, Miss PattyCake is a music menagerie of fun for children. Created and played by veteran singer and mother of two, Jean Thomason, Miss PattyCake lives by the old Shaker motto, "Hands to Work and Hearts to God." Producing and selling nearly half a million children's videos, she has been nominated for a Dove Award and performed at conferences around the world. For more than 12 years, she has led children and parents in a special brand of worship called, "PattyCake Praise." Lionsgate has acquired nine previously released Miss PattyCake titles, with three new releases currently in production via Indelible. All titles will be distributed by Lionsgate for mass channels in 2008 and beyond.

Polarboy Look To Spring For New Release

Polarboy Pop/rock outfit Polarboy, a band popular in the late 90's in the Christian music circle, is prepared to release a new album this Spring. Guitarist Joe Nawrocki recently candidly addressed the release to inquiring fans...

"As so many correspondents have been enquiring about the album's release date let me post all I know at the moment. We are working towards the spring. But please note - this is all provisional upon a great deal of variables. For a start where creative people are involved deadlines can become understandably fluid. Many other things could get in the way. The world could implode into a black hole with a mighty squalk, Canada might invade The United States (it's happened before, people), Polarboy Music Inc. might be sold to a Japanese whaling company, or an Australian mining conglomerate or another firm completely unrelated to the music business such as EMI. Nancy Pelosi might take office with a manifesto commitment to abolishing washed up, old rockers, with particular prejudice to those sporting sideburns. The UN could decree all music an act of unprovoked aggression and promote James Blunt to Secretary General accordingly(merci, Mandi). I might fall pregnant, fall over and hurt my elbow, fall prey to any number of afflictions or pretentions. I might decide it's all worthless, and that I must henceforth dedicate my life to living up a tree in the Baltimore Zoo with a monkey and a crow and the complete works of James Baldwin. Ted Kennedy's head might fall off and send me flying from my skateboard. So let's all just wait and see shall we? Look, we're not saying we won't try our best but stuff might happen. So for NOW, the spring it shall be.
    Joe"

Carman New York, NY: Internationally-acclaimed artist Carman is celebrating 30-years in ministry. It was always about music for Carman Domenic Licciardello, born into an Italian New Jersey home filled with music and laughter. His teenage talents on the drums and guitar landed him in clubs in Jersey, New York, and Vegas, but after a life-changing encounter with God at an Andrae Crouch concert, the talented, passionate musician committed his life and his gifting to reaching the world for Christ through the arts. Now 30 years later, Carman still maintains his foundation of ministry and passion for evangelism in not only his music, but also on tour, TV and the work he does through the Carman World Outreach organization.

Throughout the past 30 years, Carman has seen many blessings in his ministry. He has witnessed well over one million concert salvations; he holds the record for two of the largest solo Christian concerts in history with 50,000 in South Africa, and more recently 80,000 in North Carolina. His music albums have launched him to the top of CCM sales charts, garnering 15 Gold and Platinum albums and videos, with sales of over 10 millions records.

He has written novels, screenplays, and had the longest running theatrical release for a Christian film in 2001 with The Champion, a film in which he also played lead. He collected over a million names on a petition to return prayer to schools, the record for one individual gathering signatures on a petition of any kind in our country--s rich history. He regularly puts his hand to various TV productions, now serving as a lively regular host on the TBN network. To put it succinctly, Carman has entertained, encouraged, and preached the Gospel message so dear to his heart crossing cultural, denominational, international and ethnic lines without constraint.

5TH ANNUAL "AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS" NOMINEES ANNOUNCED
For the fist time, online voting to determine winners for Nov. 18 awards show

toby The nominees for the 35th Annual "American Music Awards" were announced Tuesday with Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns and TobyMac receiving nods for Favorite Artist in the Contemporary Inspirational category. This marks the third year in a row that Casting Crowns has been nominated for an "American Music Award," and it's the first nomination for both Camp and TobyMac.

A total of 20 awards representing eight categories of music will be presented on Nov. 18 during the live telecast of the 35th Annual "American Music Awards" on ABC from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. Comedian and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel will host the awards show for the fourth time.

This is the seventh year the "American Music Awards" have recognized the Contemporary Inspirational category. Kirk Franklin took home the honor last year, and other past recipients include Yolanda Adams, Avalon, Steven Curtis Chapman, Mary Mary and MercyMe. The other "American Music Award" categories are Pop/Rock, Country, Soul/Rhythm & Blues, Rap/Hip-Hop, Latin, Alternative, and Adult Contemporary music. There also is an award for Soundtracks and Favorite Breakthrough Artist.

For the first time, members of the public will be able to vote for the nominated artists online at ama.abc.com. Voting was opened on Oct. 9 and will be available through Nov. 2. Winners were previously selected by a national survey of approximately 20,000 people.

Initial nominees were selected by using ballots containing names compiled from data supplied by the music industry trade publication, Radio & Records and Nielsen SoundScan, which tracks retail music sales. The ballots were then sent to a national sampling of more than 15,000 people based on what type of music they listen to, what they buy and how many albums they purchase per year. The sampling also took into account geographic location, age, sex and ethnic origin, according to ABC's Web site. The top three vote getters were determined to be the nominees for this year's American Music Awards.

    "TO FRIENDS OF EG,

PRAYER REQUEST FOR REBECCA ST JAMES AND HER FAMILY

RSJ Rebecca St. James and her family would appreciate your prayers this week as they go through a personal loss...

Rebecca's beloved maternal grandma, Jean Francis, went to be with Jesus on Monday of this week. Lovingly known as 'Nanna' to the family that cherished her so dearly, she was a shining beacon for Jesus, His love, and goodness. Rebecca has flown to Australia to be with her mother and dad, David & Helen and extended family. Thank you for your prayer for the Smallbone family! Nanna will continue to reach the world for God's Kingdom for many, many years through the ministry hearts she and "Pops" have so lovingly nurtured.

Along with the sad news of their loss, Rebecca shared the following encouragement with fans and friends this week...

"I read a verse just recently that speaks to the 'authentic life.' It is in the book of Luke chapter 15. It talks about the seed that was fertile that fell into the good soil and grew up to produce a large crop. Luke 8:17 says in the New American Standard Bible: 'And the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart and hold it fast and bear fruit with perseverance.' To me that's saying God places an importance on our being honest in our hearts, being true, and by living out that truth we will bear much fruit.

Jesus died so that we could lead a life of freedom in Him—free from our sins, free from the lies so prevalent in the world around us. One of the ways we can live in the full expression of that freedom He has given to us is by being authentic."

Stay real with Jesus, my friends!

    Rebecca"

    Delirious?'s Asian Summer 2007
    By Martin Smith

It was the summer of 2007 and again we [Delirious? members] found ourselves at the airport. We had been asked to play at several events throughout Asia so we thought we'd combine work with our summer holiday, a great idea until we realized the monumental task of taking 5 wives, 16 children, 6 crew members and more suitcases than I've ever seen in one place. In fact, as usual, our family were guilty of the most and with 8 suitcases, a car seat, stroller, Eszter our au-peur, 5 children and another one growing in Annas belly, we set off on the adventure of a lifetime.

Just briefly I'm going to backtrack eight months to January. When we last toured India we visited this amazing project in one of the red light districts in Mumbai. To cut a long story short I met an Indian child there who I fell in love with and wanted to bring home. Was I going mad? (Anna thought so!) But I returned from that trip in turmoil over how we could rescue this girl from a life of poverty and prostitution. I remember clearly the first adoption agency forms sitting on the kitchen table and wondering where this journey was going to take us. Anna, the amazing woman that she is felt the right thing was for us to visit her together with the kids and we planned that it for August at the front of our Asia tour. However in the meantime there was a huge turn around with this girl's mother who decided to exit the trade and keep her. It was the right outcome and I was sad and happy.

So August was here and we were off to India. To have Anna and the children with me was extra ordinary and seeing my own kids on their hands and knees feeding other orphaned kids their daily meal was a beautiful thing. Obviously the highlight was our visit to see our 'little girl' and meeting her mother and family too. Who knows why this has happened to us but I know now that she will be educated and given a chance to escape the trap that is crippling millions of innocent lives.

Hyderabad airport will always be remembered for a stressful Smith family moment! I had put 8 passports and boarding cards in the hood of our stroller, which decided to tip over at the wrong moment throwing all the contents across the airport floor amidst a sea of people. I tried at that moment to be a good Christian but failed miserably. Anna is writing a book at the moment called 'Being Mrs. Smith', which will probably be an expose of my humanity!

So off to Singapore, the land of Gucci and huge churches. We were there to play at the Festival of Praise with 12,000 every night in the arena. A massive contrast from where we had come from but still part of Gods bigger picture and we were glad to see our friends from City harvest Church. I especially appreciated seeing the senior pastor Kong Hee and connecting with our Singaporean family.

With our fill of sushi we packed the cases and headed off to the airport again. This was our first time to Cambodia. We were part of a Joyce Meyer mission to Phnom Penh but this time things weren't going too smoothly. The government was very touchy about us being there and was repeatedly shutting down the events at the last minute. One night we were playing when the police pulled the power. I didn't feel we were finished so I got on the front row of the crowd with my acoustic and we sang for 40 minutes in complete darkness. I'll remember that beautiful sound of the Cambodian people forever. No one would leave and so Joyce Meyer preached on the steps outside with our infamous red megaphone, you had to be there to believe it! Again, poverty everywhere, heightened by visiting a rubbish dump where kids were eeking out a living, trying to earn 50 cents a day. There is always joy to be found in the midst of human suffering, which is a constant surprise. You can find God anywhere if you look hard enough and there he was on the faces of these children. We left Cambodia with a degree of frustration but we know we'll go back someday to carry on the job we started.

Onwards to Bali and a fly date to Indonesia which was fantastic. To hear the people singing our songs in their native tongue was spine chilling. By now we were happy but exhausted and after 30 days we returned home. A summer to remember, a summer that changed us forever. The kids are now back to school and life is back to normal, but in many ways we will never return to being 'normal,' we have seen things that have stirred us to action and I can feel the heartbeat of the house is different, something has got inside our children that I hope will shape their future and DNA forever.

    MercyMe
On November 20th, multi-platinum and award-winning band MercyMe will release their fifth studio recording, All That Is Within Me and Christian radio couldn't be more excited about playing their new single, "God With Us." Besides setting the record for most AC adds in a week, over 75% of R&R's AC panel has added the song by add date. Combining CHR and INSPO adds, "God With Us" is being heard on 79 R&R and CRW reporting stations and networks already (*see full list below). In its first week going for adds the single debuted on R&R's Christian AC-Monitored at No. 25, and No. 17 on its AC-Indicator chart, and while it was the most added on both of these AC charts, it was also such at INSPO and one of the top added singles at CHR this week as well. On CRW's AC chart, the single was also its most added of the week, debuting at No. 37. "MercyMe has done it once again," remarks INO Record's Senior Director of Marketing & Promotions, Dan Michaels. "They have delivered the right song at the right time, and our promotions team remains grateful to Christian radio for their continued support on this remarkable group." In addition, the single for "God With Us" goes on sale online this week (10/9) with iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, Yahoo and Sony Connect among others. MercyMe is one of the top Christian artists on Myspace.com and has received nearly 65,000 plays of "God With Us" since its debut last week at www.myspace.com/mercyme (*see links below). "God With Us" follows nine consecutive No. 1 Christian singles and four back-to-back mainstream radio hits from MercyMe since their multi-format smash, "I Can Only Imagine" in 2001. Recorded at Cider Mountain Recorders and ranch in Idaho (with strings recorded at London's famed Abbey Road Studio), the band purposefully 'got away from it all' in order to soley focus on getting their creative direction straight from God for this project. As a result, an album of songs "straight from scripture" was created, and in many ways is taking them back to where MercyMe began, singing for the church. "When we started making the new album," commented lead singer Bart Millard, "I guess the underlying theme is us trying to be a grateful people for the fact that God ever looked our way to begin with. The song "God With Us" is the first song we wrote for the album, that we kind of built everything else around. We've been obsessed with this idea that we're nothing without Christ and there's no reason why he had to include us in anything but he still did, and how grateful we should be for the rest of our lives, and how we should spend it glorifying Him. Even though it will never compare to Calvary, we don't do it just because we're supposed to, we do it because we've been completely changed, and this is our attempt to try to wrap all of that up into one song. It's become a really special worship song to us, and I hope it really ushers a lot of people into the throne room of Christ through worship.

Chapman and his family's adoption foundation, Shaohannah's Hope, have embraced the "Giving a little changes a lot. Give change now," concept with the "Change for Orphans" campaign, which has already raised more than $30,000 going towards grants for families adopting. Chapman has been spreading the word to his concertgoers to "give change now" by collecting loose change and bringing it to the concert in their respective areas (ideally in check form or converted to bills). During the course of the evening, a local family is awarded a grant on the stage from the money collected that night through this campaign. Overwhelmed by the support of the community and Shaohannah's Hope the family of the first grant awarded during the tour shares, "Wow. You wish adoption wasn't so much about finances, but the reality is that it is, and we can't tell you how much your gift to us meant. Thank you to Steven, and Emily, and to Grand Rapids for their generosity." "I think more so than the actual money given through this campaign is the demonstration of community and the body unifying to help change the life of one orphan together in this moment," explains Scott Hasenbalg, Director of Shaohannah's Hope of "Change for Orphans." Shaohannah's Hope recently launched the Show Hope project (Speak Up. Engage Others. Give. Go.) —A movement to engage individuals and communities to evidence the hope they have in Christ by speaking up for orphans and caring for them in their distress. Centered on the belief that an authentic faith connected with action will bring life to a skeptical and hurting world and glorify the God of love, Show Hope encourages every person to change their world for orphans. Kutless
Rock band Kutless invited six Kutless fans and talented guitarists to perform live on stage throughout the summer festival season as part of an innovative promotional partnership with PRS Guitars, which makes guitars favored by some of the world's most renowned touring professional musicians such as Carlos Santana, Dave Navarro, Dave Matthews and James Mead of Kutless. In the PRS Guitars invites you to ROCK THE FESTIVAL with KUTLESS online contest, 11-year-old Caleb Knott from Rolesville, N.C. was the grand prize winner, of not only a spot on stage at Creation Northeast, but also the recipient of a coveted PRS SC250 guitar and a slew of Kutless merchandise. The promotional contest featured a two-round online battle of the band's style competition with Kutless choosing the semi-finalists from self-produced videos submitted via YouTube.com. The winner, Caleb Knott, was then determined by an online fan vote. "We were totally blown away, first by the amount of guys and girls that entered, then by the amazing productions the contestants put together and finally by the fact that an 11-year-old put together a performance that made him the overwhelming favorite by the huge online vote to pick the winners. It was a blast to perform on stage with the six winners and we hope they will remember that experience for a long time," said Lead Kutless guitarist, James Mead. Kutless guitarists James Mead and Nick DePartee play an extensive collection of PRS guitars including the Custom 22, Custom 24, Singlecut Trem, Standard 24, Singlecut, Singlecut Satin and Hollowbody II. Switchfoot
Although the news is common knowledge by now, here's the official press release that was sent out this week... It's official – Switchfoot and Relient K will be touring together for the first time since 2001. The 34-city, co-headlining tour launches in Charleston, WV October 16. In the past four years, the two bands have collectively scored five albums in the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 and have spent the better part of each year on the road, much to the delight of their massive fanbases. While sorting out details for the upcoming tour, Switchfoot and Relient K discovered they shared a mutual respect for Habitat for Humanity. So they've made arrangements for one dollar from each ticket sold to be donated to the non-profit organization, which seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. The bands are also offering Habitat for Humanity's top two to four volunteers in each tour market tickets and a time to meet with them at the venue day of tour. "For the past three years the Bro-am has been an amazing chance to give back to our local community," says Switchfoot lead vocalist Jon Foreman of the annual surfing/music event the band founded to benefit San Diego's Care House. "We wanted our next tour to be built the same way: giving directly to local communities around the country. Habitat for Humanity was an obvious fit; we're honored to be partnering with such a great organization." "We've been trying to get back on the road with Switchfoot ever since the first time we toured together," says Relient K lead singer Matt Thiessen. "The two of our bands combine for a really diverse show that seems to flow together in a very natural way. We're also big fans, so we get to ask for their autographs and take pictures with them every night." Recognized as one of the hardest touring bands in rock, San Diego based Switchfoot has sold more than one million concert tickets worldwide since the 2003 release of its double-Platinum breakthrough album The Beautiful Letdown. Following the massive success of this album was an ever-growing fanbase and continuous international touring in support of its next two critically acclaimed albums, Nothing Is Sound and Oh! Gravity.
Pop/rock band Sevenglory introduces its latest studio project, Atmosphere, Oct. 30. In support of its sophomore release, the band will team up with recording artist Warren Barfield on his "First Things Tour" to launch this weekend. A collaborative effort, Atmosphere features production by Don Chaffer (Waterdeep, Sara Groves), Quinlan (Everyday Sunday, ZoeGirl, The Benjamin Gate) and Ian Eskelin (Stellar Kart, Everyday Sunday, Krystal Meyers), along with contributions by fellow co-writers singer/songwriter Brandon Heath and award-winning artist/producer Ian Eskelin, among others. As on its previous record, Sevenglory's musical style is straightforward and accessible, with lyrics that explore social as well as spiritual concerns regarding the Christian's role in a hurting world. Lead single, "Just Me," currently at No. 9 on the Radio & Records CHR chart, affirms the band's call to action, while similarly, "The Hope," inspired by Sevenglory's partnership with World Vision, reminds listeners of their responsibility to effect change. Frontman Fred Butson explains, "The world needs God's love. It's not a mystery. I think the difficult part for many Christians is saying out loud that the world needs our help. I believe that the moment we really become aware of this need, we will never be the same. We must respond. It takes our hands, minds, and willingness to get out there to cause change. Each of us is called to use his or her individual abilities, so that the sum of our efforts meets the stakes at hand." Also a prevalent theme on Atmosphere is the acknowledgement that Christians often feel insufficient or unworthy of God's love. Songs like "All You Want," "All of This for You," and "Lay It All Down," speak to the reality that God doesn't ask for perfection but rather for our best. As Butson reflects, "The grace and love of my Savior will make me who He wants me to be, who I truly desire to be." Sevenglory will debut music from Atmosphere beginning this weekend as part of Essential Records artist Warren Barfield's "First Things Tour." Kicking off Oct. 6, the tour will play 20 shows throughout a dozen states mostly in the Midwest. An up-to-date tour itinerary is available at www.firstthingstour.com.
    Connersvine
This may not be the question going through the minds of fans of the World Champion Indianapolis Colts after punter Hunter Smith nails a kick on Sundays, but on Saturday Night, October 13, Smith will show the country that the answer to that question is a booming yes. Smith played of the biggest stage in sports – The Super Bowl -- and now he takes the stage literally as he and band mate Chris Wilson bring their Christian music duo Connersvine to the Gospel Music Channel cable television network original series Front Row Live. Front Row Live: Connersvine will world premiere nationally on Gospel Music Channel on Sat. October 13 @ 8:00 p.m. ET/PT with several encores that night and throughout the month. Connersvine will be performing music from their just-released, self-titled debut album in a live concert recorded in May under the nose of the AFC South rivals Tennessee Titans in Nashville, TN. Front Row Live is Gospel Music Channel's original series featuring powerhouse artists hosting their own concert performances while sharing their musical inspirations in front of specially-invited audiences. Featured artists have included Kirk Franklin, Third Day, Michael W. Smith, The Clark Sisters and Natalie Grant. Upcoming world premieres include a very special show, Calvin Cooke and Friends with special guest Robert Randolph (Oct. 21.). Smith graduated from Notre Dame and went on to be drafted by the NFL Colts as their punter in addition to be the holder for field goals. He has just begun his ninth season with Indianapolis. Raised with a great appreciation for music, Wilson began playing guitar at the age of ten and was helping on the worship team at his local church by the time he was in middle school. Smith and Wilson met in the summer of 2001, beginning their friendship by leading worship together for a young adult ministry on the south side of Indianapolis. They created Connersvine, which has an acoustic-driven rock sound that communicates through worshipful melodies and passionate vocals.

    Underoath
As Underoath cross the U.S. on their headlining fall tour with Every Time I Die, Poison The Well and Maylene & the Sons of Disaster, they encountered an unexpected challenge at Sunday night's show in Las Vegas. While in Las Vegas, Underoath drummer/vocalist Aaron Gillespie had to undergo emergency surgery to treat an infection in his hand. In order to avoid canceling a slew of tour dates (including some high-profile shows), the band enlisted the help of drummer Kenny Bozich--a long-time fan of Underoath who was recruited by Gillespie to join his solo project The Almost. Luck was on Underoath's side (or perhaps... God?), as they had to track down Bozich while he was hiking in the mountains of Utah. Bozich left the mountains with just enough time catch a flight to Las Vegas that landed 25-minutes before Underoath would take the stage Sunday night at the House of Blues. The band texted Bozich a set list and he listened to the songs nonstop on the flight. The group and Bozich had less than 5-minutes to talk before they took the stage, the band and Bozich managed to still play a strong 40-minute set. All the day-of-show action including the surgery on Aaron--s hand was captured by the video crew currently traveling with Underoath for a documentary and concert film on the band and their current headlining tour. At the forthcoming October 28 show in Philadelphia, fans can expect a major multi camera shoot. Expect this live CD/DVD to hit shelves early next year. In the meantime, Underoath guitarist Tim McTague and lead vocalist Spencer Chamberlain are taking over Gillespie's vocals for the time being while he adheres to the doctor's orders to take the week off to rest his hand before rejoining his bandmates on tour in Portland on October 9th. The critically acclaimed Florida sextet Underoath--rounded out by bassist Grant Brandell, keyboardist Christopher Dudley and guitarist James Smith--are currently on the road for a 37-city fall headlining tour in support of their juggernaut, gold-certified third album Define The Great Line (Tooth & Nail/Solid State). High profile stops include The Wiltern in Los Angeles on Friday, October 5 and the Nokia Theatre-Times Square in New York City on Wednesday, October 24.

OK, maybe you've never thought that, but someone has and it is that special someone we had in mind when we teamed up with jamglue.com to bring you a remix contest. Just head over to Jamglue to get the song parts you need to create a new mix for the song "Love Came Down At Christmas" from the new Christmas Songs album. Jackson Waters
Jackson Waters is already working on the follow-up to their 2007 debut Come Undone. "We are enjoying a busy fall touring season," the band writes online. "In addition to some solo dates we are doing dates with Building 429, The Afters, and Storyside:B, good bands, good people. After a slow August and September full of weddings it has been nice to get back on the road. We successfully pulled off a 13 hour non stop van ride from Huntsville, Alabama on Sunday night to the Minnesota show on Monday night. We now know that 6 people can indeed sleep in the van simultaneously. The catch is that the van smells like a foot. We are working on demo-ing new material so that gives everyone something to start waiting on. We feel like we are writing some of our best material yet." Sounds good to us! We should be expecting some more great things from the JW camp soon...

Big House Kids has announced the launch of Joy To The World, the fifth title in the best-selling infant/toddler CD/DVD brand in the CBA market, The Praise Baby Collection. This Christmas project will release simultaneously, in both CD and DVD formats and, similar to previous titles in The Praise Baby Collection, is designed to create a nurturing, interactive environment for the development of a child's spirit and mind. I was so excited to add my voice to the legacy of the Praise Baby collection of recordings. These projects are a wonderful way to knit a Mom and baby's heart together in worship from the very beginning, offers a very thoughtful Christine Dente, who also co-wrote, That's What Christmas Means To Me, the album's Christmas radio single. With a primary focus of nurturing a baby's mind, soul and spirit, The Praise Baby Collection introduces children ages 1-36 months to widely recognized praise, and now Christmas, songs using music and fun, interactive video. The collection emerged from studies showing that musical experience in very early childhood helps stimulate learning, creativity and affects long-term memory. Numerous studies have shown that young children, even infants, experience an explosion of brain activity when they experience music. With the newest title in the The Praise Baby Collection, Joy To The World introduces young children to Christmas favorites, as seen in the track listing: "Joy To The World," "Welcome To Our World," "O Come All Ye Faithful," "We Three Kings/What Child Is This?," "The Very First Christmas Morn," "For Unto Us A Child Is Born," "Away In A Manger," "No Eye Has Seen," "Here With Us," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," "That--s What Christmas Means To Me," "All Is Well." In addition, the complementing DVD features touching Christmas songs and images of children, colorful animation, and real world objects. Joy To The World will actively engage a baby's spirit and mind, stimulating early learning in the areas of tactile, cognitive, social, emotional, and most importantly, spiritual development. Also releasing on October 2 are full CD and DVD box sets of previously released Praise Baby titles including, Praises and Smiles, God of Wonders, Born To Worship and My Father--s World, priced at $34.98 and $49.98 respectively. Big House Kids, a division of Provident Label Group, specializes in the creation of high-quality, Christ-centered children--s products.
