We at Thoronka Law Offices are proud of our primary area of practice - Immigration Law.
It is this pride and commitment to excellence which makes Thoronka Law Offices a uniquely
rewarding place to practice law. Thoronka Law Offices associates are among the most talented
and motivated of their law school class.

respect among the attorneys and staff at Thoronka Law Offices are hallmarks of the firm's culture.
While our practice is often fast paced and always intellectually challenging, time for family
and life outside the office are important attributes of the firm's practice.
Summer Associate Program
Thoronka Law Offices summer associate program offers first and second year law
students an opportunity to experience the practice of law in challenging and enjoyable six or
twelve week sessions. Our summer associates rotate through both the business and litigation
sections and work with attorneys in all of the firm's practice areas. Summer associates do more
than research. They are exposed to all facets of the firm's practice, from client conferences and
transaction closings to depositions and trials. Each summer associate is assigned an attorney
mentor who serves as a guide and ombudsman during the summer associate's stay at the firm.
Social events allow the summer associate and attorneys to get to know one another outside the
office environment. Thoronka Law Offices' summer associate program is designed to give the student a
taste of the practice of law and, more importantly, to forge lasting friendships and associations.
Associate Development
It is the expectation and goal of Thoronka Law Ofices that every associate hired will
mature professionally to full partnership in the firm. To that end, the firm designed and implemented
an Associate Development Program. Each associate is assigned a partner as mentor. The mentor
monitors the associate's practice and professional development. The associate receives periodic
written critiques focusing on the associate's strong points and areas for improvement. Concrete
plans to remedy problems and achieve professional development are jointly agreed on by the
mentor and associate and implemented. Associate isolation, stagnation and the "sink or swim"
mentality are not tolerated as just "part of the practice" at Thoronka Law Offices.
